Okay, they're getting into it straight away. That's kind of cool. It's like the Minecraft movie a bit. Oh, Minecraft Live has its own theme tune now. Oh, I've been there. That staircase is really impractical. This one here, it's so small. Like you can see if you want to cross on the stairs, you have to go to the left and then there's like no step. It's It's a really bad staircase, but it looks cool. It Welcome to the first Minecraft Live of 2026. Thank you, Yens. I actually met Yens at the Minecraft movie premiere. He's very nice. Also, yes. Hello. This is Minecraft Live 2026. Dan TDM's reaction.
Did I watch this live? No. But I'm here to watch the recap. And apparently there's some interesting things in here, including one thing I did know about, but didn't know if I could speak about it. So now it's out there. I can speak about it. So that's good. I'm not making sense. Let's Let's get on to the first thing. Upcoming game drop, Tiny Takeover. Oh, yeah. Response to the mobs has been great. Yeah, look at those guys, man. They're cute. The horse. Why have I not seen these? I didn't even know there was a baby armadillo. Am I'm not even a Minecraft YouTuber anymore. What am I
doing? I'm slacking. The panda's kind of cute. I think my favorite ones have to be the horses. Hopefully, you can just ride them as ponies cuz that's hilarious. Yeah, I need to play this when it comes out. We sharing plans. Yeah, let's go. Me and a digger. What is going on? I forgot. I forgot those this was coming out. I didn't even know if they were going to use that shot. And then I started getting tagged on Twitter and stuff of me on a digger. I'll explain in a sec. All right. Hi, I'm here Minecraft game director. That means we got some new vanilla Minecraft news.
Know that some of you are already familiar with the new baby. Some of us I am now familiar. Okay, the baby turtle is cute seeing it move now that we kept. I like the baby mobs. That's cool. Another thing is that we are making name tags easier to obtain. Okay, I like this. Thinking about the balance for rewards in game. It's about finding your right reward and naming mode. Yeah, that's cool. Yes, I like this because name tags are notoriously something that I really want kind of early game, but you have to like fish them, look for dungeons, and you don't even find them in dungeon chests that much. I like this. So, a little nugget
and a piece of paper makes a name tag. Great change. Look at the pig. Oh my god, he's cute. I like the Okay, the baby mobs kind of look even better when they're in gameplay than just standing there. The baby mobs are cool. Tiny Takeover will be launching March 24th. That's tomorrow. Well, as I'm recording this video, it's tomorrow. I don't know when I'm going to get this up, but 24th. That's soon. I guess I should update my world. That's awkward. There's baby villagers. I didn't know they changed that. I thought it was just the animals. It looks like they've had their heads cut in half. Why are their noses like should their noses not be like a pixel longer? What has happened there? Um I'm
confused. I like the baby villagers though. If only it's I hope there's a way that you can stop them growing up. I think there is. Did I see that? There is, isn't there? There's like a golden flower that you can use to stop them growing up. Can you use that on the villagers? I want baby villagers. The noses look weird, though. The biggest cosmetic updates we've done. And we have over 100 for these baby mobs. Oh, yes. Baby villagers is great. Together. Yeah. See the difference? That looks way better. We just want to keep them forever young.
Oh, wait. Is this what they're talking about? Actually said, "We want this feature as well. We want to keep them forever young." And that kind of became the code name for what would eventually turn into the golden dandelion. New item. And it's crafted with a dandelion surrounded by golden nuggets. And you can use this to keep a baby forever young. It'll never grow up as soon as it has a little taste of the golden dandelion. Nice. You can keep puppies. I hope this works on villagers, though. Someone lost a baby villagers. I know they're not going to do anything, but they just look hilarious.
I'm glad they added this, too. The baby mobs are better than I expected. Oh, wait. It's he Minecraft movie. Your family, your friends, even those who don't know how to get on top of the Nether roof. Oh, it's a Minecraft experience. So, I took my son to this, not as like a not a special event, just like as a regular customer. And it was actually really fun. I enjoyed it. I think the group sizes were maybe too big. There's always some people that got kind of left behind, but the whole concept was really cool. I can imagine as of like someone my son's age, like six. Um, it's really cool and super immersive. I loved all the 3D Minecraft stuff, which I'll get to in a second with some of the other reveals that are
coming up soon. But hopefully this means they're going to do some more. How about experiencing Minecraft in a real forest? Our first outdoor nighttime adventure Minecraft experience moonlight trail in Buenosirus. Well, you can't do there's no way that's coming to the UK. You can't do an outdoor experience in the UK. It rains constantly to other cities around the world. It's interactive. Your quest is to find and restore. Wait, is it actually outside that will light up the night on sale soon? Oh, well, my son will definitely want to go to that. So, I'll check that out as well, I guess. Outside is interesting though.
Oh, one more thing. You have been asking for it for a long time. The end up been working. Oh, wait. No, this is the thing I knew about already. Here we go. To create Minecraft world. Now, this is ironically in London and is outside. So, scratch what I was saying. All right. I didn't mean it. Minecraft World. Real life explosions. Real fire. Real Nether. That's right. Minecraft World located in London. Minecraft World is the ultimate land arriving at one of the UK's largest theme parks, Chestington World of Adventures next year.
Next year, we're getting a Minecraft theme park. I'm kind of surprised that it's taken this long actually, but um the way they're doing it, cuz I know a little bit about this since I got invited to go and have a look early and help with some of the design process. They're doing a great job on this. This is going to literally blow your minds and it's it's going to be so popular. I don't know how they're going to deal with the amount of people that want to go to this, but we'll see. You're going to be able to meet mobs, explore the world's largest Minecraft show, and it will host epic attractions, including the world's first Minecraft roller coaster.
Yes. Oh, wait. We've been collaborating with some awesome Minecraft creators. Oh, that's me. Well, that's not me, but I'm there. There I am. has enabled us to evolve our thinking and actually take stuff to the next level. The creators allowed us to explore some of the greater and weirder questions. What does Minecraft taste like? Is it square burgers? They got me sipping a potion. So, let me go. There's a few things to go over here. So, first off, uh where do I get to? Uh I want to go to the area stuff to the next level.
Yeah. So, this massive absolutely massive. This is like a big part of Chessington. You can kind of see like the Paw Patrol world on the left, but this whole section is going to be Minecraft World. And it is massive. Look how small we are. It's huge. And there's me sipping on a potion. They're actually going to make Minecraft themed things that you can eat and drink, which is wild. And we were the first people outside of Merlin to try them. So, firstly, thank you to Merlin and Mojang for having me involved in this. It's It's going to be a crazy experience. It's already mental that they've uh involved us, but I cannot wait to see your guys' reaction to what they've got
coming up cuz lots of it hasn't actually been announced yet. But let's let's continue and see what I'm actually allowed to say. What does the overworld smell like? What am I? Yeah. Okay, so I didn't realize this about theme parks, but apparently smell is a thing. Like they can just blast smell into certain places, which is crazy to me. So on these little sticks we had um things that we could smell and it was like what does lava smell like? What does a swamp smell like? What does a cave smell like? And when you think about it, it's actually really hard to just create a smell like that. Like what
does a what does a Minecraft cave smell like? I don't know. But we got to have some input on the smells of a theme park which is just wild. There is so much more to reveal. That is so true. It's been such an amazing project and we can't wait for the community to experience it in real life in 2027. That's right. Okay. So, they hardly showed anything. I think I'm allowed to say that they hardly showed anything. They showed the concept, but they're actually way further in the process than that obviously because they're building it right now and it comes out next year.
I can't wait to keep working with Merlin and be involved in the process and I cannot wait for you guys to see it as well. It's really, really exciting. Hello again. Now, it's time to get into something completely new. Our next game drop is truly embracing the sandboxiness of Minecraft. And to tell you more, we need to venture underground. Okay. I haven't seen anything about this about the caves. Not seeing the sun rise and fall makes it easy to lose track of time. That's true.
You dig a little deeper. Clock update. Suddenly you're somewhere new. This happens to me all the time. Then you can't find your way back and then you start crying. That's what happens to me anyway. Unsettling. God, do we need them? Also full of possibilities. I say, do we need more horror mobs? What hides behind the next block? Who is that? Ketchup and mustard. A new cave biome. The food update. Sulfur caves. Don't sulfur smells like farts, doesn't it? Like egg. I'm pretty sure when I went to New Zealand, there was sulfur and it stunk. Is this the smell update? The smell update.
They were hinting at it. The theme parks, they invited me to smell things. Sulfur. It's all making sense. The smell update is coming. Okay. I like the new blocks. We needed some more colorful blocks like that actually in those shades. They look nice. Entering this biome, you'll notice the warm colors there. Oh, look at the water. It's green. Quite like it on the ground. Hold on a second. If we swapped glasses, we would uh we look very similar. Daniel, I swear this isn't me. Yo, what's that green water about?
Different from other caves because it's surface is kind of threedimensional. You have these patches of different blocks that fade into. You have the pools at the center and then sulfur on the edges and then cineabar. So, it's a very unique environment. It is cool looking. It kind of looks like I got to admit it looks like a is this bad to say? It looks like a disease is taking over the cave like something is spreading kind of like what the um the deep dark does but surpul that of course also means that us Okay, that looks nice. I like that with all these different blocks. Yeah, that looks sick. Actually, both the cineabar and sulfur come with like full block sets. Really pretty blocks.
Yeah, they look really nice. What's this green water though? Has been inspired by multiple hot springs, sulfur springs all over the world. So, if you look at the water, there is some sort of uh gas on the water surface. Yeah, that stinks. So in the sulfur caves you can find sulfur pools uh which are these uh natural pools uh composed of sulfur and then on their bottom they have some blocks of potent sulfur and potent sulfur is a potent variety of sulfur which I guess reacts with water and produces bubbles. What are we doing with this? Then when these bubbles reach the surface they create a noxious gas which gives player and nausea. Okay. So, we get sick in the water. But why would we go here?
As soon as you walk into it and the world start like you definitely understand like, okay, yes, this is a bit um dangerous. But it's not just the new pools and the new blocks you find in the sulfur cube. What's next then? This shows the home of our newest mob. Oh, sulfur cube. Hello. We needed more slimes in our life. smiling, doesn't it? I think it want to go. Yeah, right. It's up to interpretation if it's smiling or not. What is it going to do, though? And it has a little secret. the sulfur cube is unlike anything we've ever done before. And it's a mob that has an ability to absorb blocks.
Oh. Oh, that's kind of cool looking actually. Put a diamond in it. So when it the block that the sulfur cube likes, the sulfur cube is going to move towards you. So like to make it absorb a block, you just uh interact with it while you're moving the block. Okay, but why? Why are we doing this? Dust something strange happens. Uh they stop moving and if you punch it, they will take off. Why? What is going on? What is happening? Why? I have so many questions. What is going on here? Kind of stop. Let me see that again. And if you punch it, I thought you meant it would just pop out, not ex just punch him in the face and he launches.
Kind of stop the mob and instead start behaving kind of like a Oh my god. Give me some Minecraft golf maps as soon as possible, please. When the sulfur cube uh absorbs a block, it will get different depending on what kind of block it is. So, for example, ice makes it very slidy. Uh, wool blocks make it a bit more floaty, like it's, you know, light and filled with air. Metal it is like very heavy. Oh, yeah. That's quite clever. Ice I was playing, I think I had a sort of cube absorbed a packed ice and then I had it on ice as well and hit it and it was just gliding super far away.
It was like so low friction. He's like, "Oh, can we back?" where you hit it, it will move in different directions. But there's some element of skill to be able to like make it bounce the way you want. Oh my god. Like interesting dynamics to mini games for instance. Yeah, definitely. I can see the mini games for sure. Yeah. Bowling, curling, golf maps would be pretty fun actually. I would like that. I'm trying to think how does this work in like why would you use this in survival? I'm trying to think why you would need the bouncing functionality. It is so random. I did not expect him to just launch that guy
across the cave. That caught me off guard. I think I can see them doing pinball machines, you know, with Yeah, that sounds good. Everything. Yeah, volleyball. I mean, all the board sports like they come. There you go. Going to be doing super creative things. There'll be a really cool golf map. Redstone contraptions. It can be used in dunking the villag or uh making traps. uh stuff like that. Overall, I think it's quite a chaotic.
Oh, it's You know what? Seeing it activate the trip wire, that's quite cool, actually. You can make almost moving redstone instead of having to hook up loads of it, if that makes sense. So, you could have it I don't know, maybe a piston can push this as well to move it across and activate something further away. I could see that working. That's my kind of redstone. More like practical redstone. I like I like that idea actually. Bouncing around so many things happening. This is wild though. So like a slime, you can split the sulfa cube. Those baby ones. And these two small cubes will grow up to become a big cube. And that's how you get a new sulfa cube.
Oh, so you just kind of like interreed themselves, I guess. That guy goes flying, man. I think the silver cube is Okay, that's just abuse. What you doing of what makes this drop so sandboxy? Like it comes with endless possibilities and that's really important for us when we drop. Like what is going on here? We have just tied them up to the ceiling and we're just smacking them, abusing them, just smacking them. And then you do a golem race and then for no reason whatsoever you launch the iron golem into the water where he will sink and die. Look, you think my guy is surviving that? It's going straight into water. Minecraft, why? Why have you done this? Huh? What? And the cube as well.
That's mean. Minecraft like as a instead of creating a specific experience for the players, we try to enable and inspire the players to create their own experiences and I think the sulfur cube really follows that. Coming soon potent sulfur thankfully testing no stink edition of Minecraft have a name for this drop and it will be chaos cube. Chaos cubed. So, is there going to be I wonder if that's going to be the main feature or whether there'll be a couple of other things as well. The I feel like the drops are getting smaller and more frequent. I might be incorrect, but it
feels that way. Sulfur cube though, let me just fact check. Does sulfur smell bad? Sulfur doesn't smell of anything? Hydrogen sulfide smells like rotten eggs. So, it's the smelly bit, right? When you mix it with water. I'm no scientist, but I think that would smell. I'm not really that hung up in it. Just a note from me. After show will be starting in just a few minutes. But before that, we have one more thing to show you. Something we've been working on for Minecraft movie 2. Oh, wait. I know what this is. Okay, so this is something I did see already and it's a major W. Major, I'm telling you. Look at Keep your eyes peeled. Listen to this. Those took up
arms and triumphed against the baby villagers with peace restored. All was well until it was Oh my yo, he's stuck under that. That's savage. I haven't actually seen the trailer for this. I know what it is, but I haven't seen any of the content on it. The Warden. Oh, that's the end city. Dungeons 2 coming this year as well. Buzzing. I This might be a controversial opinion. I like to think it's not, but I think Minecraft Dungeons was the best spin-off game for Minecraft that they have ever done. I'm putting that out
there. Dungeons was the only one that I fully completed. Actually, I've just remembered story mode. It's a close battle between those two, but Dungeons 2, let's go. I'm happy about this. Minecraft Dungeons 2 is coming this year. And it's this year, too. That's kind of crazy. And also, the um the arcade version of it is actually really sick, too. I kind of prefer playing it on the arcade. You get the little cards that come out. If any of you have played it, every time you play the game, you get a card that then powers up your character or unlocks a new skin and stuff. And that's a really fun way to play it, too. And that's it. That's Minecraft Live 2026. I'm actually
pleasantly surprised by it, to be honest. Did not expect the sulfur cube. Did not expect Minecraft Dungeons before I read about it online. in Dungeons, too. But I am excited about that. My son is going to love Dungeons as well. He loves the first one. We had Minecraft World the theme park as well, which I knew a little bit about. And there's so much more to come with the Minecraft theme park. You have no idea. But overall, I'm pretty happy with it. We get a new Minecraft mob that we can just put blocks into and slap about. Um, we'll see what people use the sulfur cube for, but I am liking it. I think it's a cute little mob. And the baby mobs as well, which I haven't fully
experienced. I'm excited to use those, too. So, let me know. What did you think of Minecraft Live 20 I was going to say 2026, but actually it's every few months or so, isn't it? What did you think in the comment section down below? Let me know. Leave a like if you enjoyed this reaction. Subscribe if you're brand new as well for more Minecraft content when I actually try out these new updates. And I'll see you in the next one. All right. See you.
