Today, I'm testing illegal tools used by spies. From items designed to hide real poison to devices that claim to let spies see through walls, I'm putting all of them to the test to see if they actually work. Starting with a tool used to break into real skyscrapers. Got the foot in. Here comes the scary part. Okay, I got to get to the roof. H. There we go. Oh, I'm climbing. Whoa. Oh gosh. This is crazy. Oh man, I'm up so high. This is the hardest part. I need to get to the edge. We just got one more. Oh my gosh.
Woo. I did it. I'm the first lawyer spy. In front of me are four normallooking products, but every single one has a hidden feature. First are these glasses. They look like normal glasses, but right here is a secret compartment. Inside is a cyanide pill, which is an extremely poisonous chemical. If a spy was captured, they would use this to poison themselves or an enemy. Or they'd hide the cyanide in a fake tooth, and they would bite down on it to instantly poison themselves. Next is a concealment coin. They're used to hide microfilm, which are tiny photographs, or marking powder.
Marking powder could be placed on a door or desk drawer, so if someone entered the room or tampered with the drawer, you'd know. And now there's this concealment nail. One real spy method was hiding tiny maps or breadcrumbs inside, which was specific to each spy that they can leave behind so that their agency knows they were there. Then there's a special pen. This ballpoint leaves invisible ink only seen with the right light. There's a famous case in World War I. The German spy Carl Mueller used lemon juice on paper to leave secret messages, and they were only revealed with heat. This one uses UV ink.
Can you see it? You can only see the text if you shine the UV flashlight on it. Now, I'm meeting with one of Hollywood's top 3D scanning artists to map my entire face. The goal is to turn me into someone completely unrecognizable. We're going to need to take over a 100red pictures of your head. Is it just the 3D model of you? Wa! It looks like a wax version of me. All right, that's pretty cool. I'm blue. You got the right color choice. I wonder how this is going to turn out. While this finishes, I'm going to test a tool that spies use to break out of anything.
This is a full lockpicking set that I'm going to use to escape these handcuffs. First, let's take this tension tool to apply tension to the lock. Inside the handcuffs, there's a ratchet bar and a paw. I'm using this pick to lift the paw manually. Almost have it. One hand done. Now that I know the technique, this one should be easier. Got it. Now time for the ankle restraints. I just need to find the paw in here and lift it to unlock it. Oh, I think I got the hang of this.
Got it. Now I need to escape out the door. Now doors are different, so I'm going to use this lockpick set as a credit card. The trick is to slide the card so I can move the latch so I can open the door later. After I escaped, I headed home to test some more crazy spy tools. This right here is a hidden camera and audio recorder detector. It's designed to pick up hidden cameras and microphones. Right now, Joel is hiding five different cameras and audio recorders somewhere in the room. I have 5 minutes to find all five. Let's turn this thing on. Let's see. Spies use these to sweep hotel rooms, meeting locations, and cars before having sensitive conversations. Wo! You see that?
What is this? There's a butt in here, but nothing's coming out. This pen doesn't work. This is one of the cameras. This scanner works by sending out radio waves that bounce back when they hit a camera lens or active microphone. Oh, something else is going off here. This bear has cameras in the buttons. Found the second one. Good try, Joel. Something's going off here. What the heck is this decoy? Whoa. What's that? It's going off here. Is this mine? I don't remember leaving a charger here. And there was a blue light that just went on. This thing is all warm. This definitely has a camera in it. A lot of enemy spies would use everyday objects because if
something looks normal, no one would ever question it. I'm running out of time. What's over here? It's not really going off. Wait, maybe here. This is just a flashlight. You can't fool me, Joel. Oh, it's getting louder. What is this heart thing? Wa! This is going off crazy. This is an audio recorder. Some devices are meant to gather intel longterm, so devices like these can sit here for days without anyone noticing. I got one more to find and I'm running out of time. All right, time's up. All right, I got four out of five. Which one did I miss? Just one water bottle. What? Wa! Small camera right here. This one definitely tricked me, but that's nothing compared to the spy tool coming up later in this video where I become a
completely different person. Next, I want to show you a scanner that lets you see through walls. This device sends out electromagnetic pulses that can pass through walls made of wood, plaster, or drywall. As these waves pass through the wall, they cause tiny vibrations on objects or people inside. The scanner picks up these reflections and creates a 3D image of what's behind the wall. So, how do you protect yourself from all this? First, these radar waves cannot penetrate metal. So, if your walls have metal studs, metal siding, or even foil lining, the signal gets reflected back and the device doesn't really work.
Next, the farther someone is from your house, the weaker the signal. Most of these devices max out at around 1,000 ft. And third, if you see someone sitting in a car or standing outside your house with equipment on a tripod pointed at you, that's not normal. Call the police. Now, this product helps spies see their enemies, but these next products also help them hear them. Let's check them out. Right now, there are three different devices recording everything I say. I want you to try to find each one before I reveal them. Which one do you think it is? This. Times up. The first is this lighter.
Looks harmless, but inside is this microphone. This lighter weighs the same as a normal lighter and even produces a real flame. Spies carry these into meetings and restaurants because no one questions why someone has a lighter. Next is this briefcase. This is inspired by a real case where a spy hid a microphone inside their briefcase to secretly record meetings. The entire case was a listening device and no one had a clue. And then he was like, "Oh, what is it?" And I was like, "Well, to be honest, like when guys drink out of straws and they get sugary coffee drinks, I think that is just so gross."
And this last device is the coolest because you don't even have to be nearby to record. Across the street, Joel is using a laser microphone. Laser mics record sound by bouncing the laser off surfaces like windows and reading the vibrations. Government buildings are even designed with angled glass and vibration dampening materials to stop this exact thing from happening. Let's see if it actually works. If you can hear me right now, give me a thumbs up. Now, I'm meeting with one of Hollywood's best makeup artists to see if she can transform me into Mr. Beast. And to put it to the test, later in this video,
I'll be going out in public to test if the disguise really works. All right, we're back from the face scan and now we're going to get it all applied. Every layer matters because if anything looks even slightly off, people notice immediately. The hardest part of the entire process is the prosthetic nose. All right, we got the prosthetic nose from the face scan. Look at that. By the time we're done, you won't even notice. All right, I'm dressed like Mr. Beast now. The point for spies is to be unrecognizable. And I'm pretty sure no one would recognize me as Law by Mike.
Let's give my friend Clark a call and see what he thinks. Clark. Well, how would you like to win a million? I don't know you, Clark. It's me. It's Law by Mike. No, you're not. Yeah, it is. Where'd you go to law school? Duke, am I your best friend? Yeah. All right, Clark. I'm going to go see if I can fool people and be Mr. Beast. You want to be in a peaceable promo? $100. Thank you. Enjoy. I'm at Hollywood Boulevard and I have a three-step plan to see if this disguise actually works. Task one is simple.
Someone has to ask me for a selfie. People have been taking videos of me. It seems like they're hesitant. Got to see if we can get a selfie. Do you want to take a selfie? Huh? Selfie. Okay. Selfie. Thank you. Yeah, dude. Thank you very much. Yeah, no problem. Nice to meet you. Thank you. It worked. And can I have a picture? Yes, you can have a picture. It was working. People seriously believed I was Mr. Beast and wanted to take photos with it. We did it. Task number two. I need to get someone into a Fastable promo.
All right, let's see what we can get. This whole suitcase is filled with Fastables. So, my plan is to open it up so everyone can see and they'll immediately think I'm Mr. Beast trying to advertise for Fastables. Oh, it's Mr. Beast. They're going to release their feastable. You want to be in a Fable promo? Sure. What's your name? Cora. Cora, nice to meet you. All right, we're going to have you taste a Festival bar here and tell us what you think. Okay. It's good.
She likes it. All right. And we have a prize for you. $100. Thank you. Enjoy. All right. I'm getting hungry out here. I love my product. We are from like from Germany. We thought that you're like here. Well, come in. Nice to meet you. Nice to meet you, too. So, like tasting one or what? Yeah. Taste it and let us know what you think. No, it's good. It's nice. They like it. Feastables loved worldwide. $100 for you.
Crazy. Are you guys subscribed? Show the camera. He's subscribed. He loves him. Mission accomplished. Now for task three. Someone needs to ask for my autograph. I walked up and down Hollywood Boulevard for 2 hours thinking no one would want to stop me for an autograph until this happened. Hello. Yeah, you guys have an autograph. All right. We got the hat right there. Thanks. There you go. You guys want a selfie, too? Yes. I completed all three tasks. I guess I do look like Mr. Beast. Watch another video. Click here.
