Full English Transcript of: (vlog) Everything YUMMY I ate in LA!

Hi guys. It's a Wednesday afternoon, which is usually a random time for me to start a new vlog, but I am picking up the camera because I'm about to go pick up my sister from the airport. She's here for about 3 days. She's here for 3 days and since we don't have a lot of time, we've been planning ahead what we want to do. There weren't that many activities planned really, but all of our itinerary revolves around just like all the food that we want to eat, which is the activity honestly. It is the main activity. Yeah, she had some requests,

some places that she's been before and she really liked, some places that I've been raving about that she really wants to try. And I thought it was a really good opportunity to vlog all of it so that if you live in LA and want to visit all of my favorite spots, but if you're also visiting LA from other cities, you have an updated version of all of my favorite spots because I do this once in a while. Picking her up. LAX Tom Bradley. 39 minutes. Honestly, not too bad. Picking her up with some water and that's it. I'm like 10 minutes away from the airport, but my sister's

still in line to go through the immigration. Is that what it's called? So, I just parked my car in a random neighborhood. I do this all the time. It's either like a random neighborhood or like a parking lot of a Chipotle. And I'm just going to get going again when she's um claiming her bags That's my bag Hi, can I place a pickup order? Can we get one shrimp pai mild chicken panang curry medium spicy? I used to have a Thai food obsession where I would literally eat panang curry like every single day. It's a really bad obsession. I never got sick of it. I was just like, "Okay,

I should probably eat other food." So, I stopped. And that was like last summer. So, I haven't had pan curry in a while. Been like two months maybe. I've had panang curry maybe like twice in my life I love pan curry. So good. So, what's your new hyper fixation? Can we get metal spoons? I don't like using plastic spoons for hot food I have an idea to mix this again. I need to go like bowl shopping plate shopping. I'm going to Thailand this. Really? Yeah Going to Bangkok and then we're going to this island It's really hard to come across bad Thai food in LA

Oh my god. You can tell they cook their chicken really nice Oh, kind of spicy I sent my sister off to pick up our boba. I hope it's ready. But this parking lot is so crowded I'm so happy. Mochi mango is the name of the drink. This whole thing is like a mochi layer First swirl it around so the mango gets swirled in. But then you also poke through the mochi So when you take a sip, the mochi comes up kind of like its own like boba ball. And you got to mix it well so the ratio stays good throughout the entire duration of your boba drinking

This is my number one dessert in LA. Actually, I need to stop. I need to stop hyping it up so much It's pretty good But the mochi layer is so addicting. Cat, I love you. I just got a huge mochi chunk. So good, right? No way. If you're coming as a group, make sure everyone gets one You don't want to share this So, where are we going right now? We're going to Alchemist Coffee. Your favorite spot. Can you tell us why it's your favorite? Cuz honestly, it's good. Don't get me wrong, but I don't personally go when you're not here. I think it's because

their signature menu is a New Orleans like cold brew latte. And apparently cold brew latte isn't that common. I think it's supposed to be inspired off of brew bottles New Orleans, but I think it's better. Something about the ratio that they do. It's so strong but kind of sweet but not too sweet but it's still creamy and nutty and it tastes like copio if you like that kind of sweetness But we're bringing our own Stanley tumbler because the cafe that we're going to for brunch, their coffee isn't that great. So, we want to get coffee from Alchemist. But, we don't want to

like bring in coffee from another cafe into that restaurant cuz it is like a sit down cafe. So, we're going to keep it here so while we eat our food, the coffee doesn't melt in the car. Or are we bringing it in? No, we're leaving it in the car. We can We could bring it in. How are they going to know? No, but it's just like we can have it for, you know, throughout the day and we've just The fact that we've thought this through to bring Yes. Yeah. This is like a small tumbler that I just got from Stanley. The flex is I did a photoshoot with Stanley and they gave me a free

one. And you know what's so funny? I told my high not high school, I told my college roommates that I was doing a shoot with Stanley and my friend was freaking out for me cuz she was like, "Oh my gosh, Kelly, I swear whenever I see a Stanley, I immediately think of you." And I was like what does that say about me/? She was like, "Yeah, and your pink emotional support water bottle, like I think of you." So they picked the right person. So I was like, "Yeah, I guess." First time using it's the perfect size. I'm so sad. I can't show you the color of this coffee. Like the

colors is so majestic - You forgot to bring the straw portion of the - What? - That sticks underneath this No way. I don't think this is going to work, right? No way. I didn't know. No. - That's so good. I'm trying. - How did you drink it? Oh no. I'm so sad. I need the sippy This pancake is so good. I don't know what it is. It's like the crust is so crunchy. The middle is so soft

I've never tried their sandwich. Oh, actually I have. I lied. I don't know why. I don't know why that I've tried their tuna sandwich, which is really good. This BLT It's a good BLT. Nothing special It's bring your sister to work day. I have a casting. So, I'm here in Hollywood at the Good American office. But I have 15 minutes. So, I'm just going to chill in the car. I also have to change. Oh, should I change? Okay. Usually what they make me do is they'll since this is a denim brand, they'll just give me their pair of jeans and see what size I am. Or they'll give me

the size of jeans that I think they think I am and then see how I fit in it. Really? Yeah. Or they're like usually they're looking for a specific size model. So they want to see how well you fit in it I haven't had any issues where I go into like a job or a fitting and they give me something that I can't fit into, which is like which I'm so grateful for. Imagine I go and I'm like, um, this actually doesn't fit. This is too small. I'll just go home now. Oh, sorry. Yeah. And then they'll take pictures of me and then I leave I think I'm just going to keep this on. He gave me double zero size and usually I don't wear double zero. I wear like a two. So I was like I don't know but good

American jeans are super stretchy. So I just put it on and it fit. It was fine literally to like over here and I like came out like dragging my jeans and they're like it's okay but I've never felt so short in my life. It's okay. They know my height. That's what I'll do. I always complain to my family that it's so cold. They're always laughing at me like, "What do you mean you're cold in LA?" And my sister's finally able to experience it for herself, like how cold it can be in LA. How cold it is inside my house, honestly. But I'm about to go to pilates. I want to leave the house a little earlier because I've been

late to Pilates and I hate being late. So, it's a little unnecessary to leave like 25 minutes early, but I am leaving 25 minutes early. It's raining. People are driving not that great. Everyone's driving so slow for good reason. It's just so hectic when it rains in LA cuz it's so rare. I was running out the door to go to pilates and then I remembered I ordered these new pilates socks. So, I wanted to unbox them and wear them to class today. They look really grippy. Nice. I'm wearing all black. So, I think I'm going to wear Should I wear all black or should I do gray? I think

I'll do these gray pairs. I will let you guys know how grippy they are. I almost bought like a really expensive pair. $18 a pair and they have really good reviews, but this is like $12 for three pairs. So, and then this I also want to try with you guys later today. But I will explain this later because I got to go. Oh, we should go there. What is that? Central. Oh my gosh, they have all the cute things. We're going to Torigoya. Of course, we're here at Torigoya Had to wait. So, we came to a Japanese grocery store to buy snacks. This was my choice. You have your Oh my gosh. Thank you. Cheers to dinner

It's so good. Yeah. Just Well, exactly. So, this is the chicken nanban. This lighting is like horrendous. I have no eyebrows right now. And it's like still marinated in this soy sauce and then this egg salad on top So good. So good This is the chicken gizzard. I like the big spicy spice This is the thigh This is the wing obviously So like freshly grilled and this is heart with sauce This is the chicken breast with all the wasabi. I got so much I'm so happy. We're now at, how would you guys say this? Yoga. It's my favorite frozen yogurt place in LA

Taking a video first Guys, the cake pieces so good. Okay, guys. I have made it to the gym. My plan, it's already 9:40, so I don't want to be here for too long. But my plan is to do like 30, 40 minutes of cardio. And then I'm obsessed with sweating at the sauna, but I'm not very good at it. I'm not good at enduring the heat. So, I've been trying different things cuz you it's way too hot. You can't bring your phone. You can't bring your headphones. So, last time I tried bringing in a book and guess what happened? It was It's so hot in there. Like the bonding

of the book melted and my book came apart. So, I'm not doing that anymore. But I recently saw a girl journal in there. Wait, is that going to melt my journal, too? I'm going to try journaling inside to kill some time. And then I'm going to shower and then I'm going to go back home I just got back from the gym. Honestly, journaling inside the sauna kind of worked I don't know how hot it is in there, but it is so hot. It's a dry sauna I know in Korean saunas when you go into a hot sauna room, you can literally like cook sweet potatoes and like eggs in there. I'm pretty sure you could do that in here, too. Like that's how hot it is. Journaling. Yeah, my journal did not fall apart because

I did realize that my journal is binded with the string. Thank god. paper started to like wilt a little bit and the pen started to become really hot like the metal part of my pen. So, I'm going to have to find like a little plastic pen. I don't know. I'm trying to figure this out But I'm now home dying to try this heatless curl. I've been trying to use less heat on my hair. God, this is really big. I think I've talked about this before. I love my hair when it's freshly washed, but I need my hair to be wavy in order for me to like how I look. But in order for me to wash

my hair, like to have fresh hair every day, that means I have to wash it every day. I don't want to use heat curler to curl my hair every day cuz it's so damaging for my hair. No matter how much hair product you use to make up for the heat, you're supposed to like wrap your hair around this and this is supposed to curl your hair. But my hair is pretty wet right now. So, I'm going to dry it a little more so it's just slightly damp. I should be watching a tutorial, but it's pretty self-explanatory. How do I secure this? Like this. And then twist the hair in like this We tie this. Wait, no. I'm so confused. Why is this not working?

How do I like secure this? Apparently with the scrunchie Should I be just damaging my hair instead? I am supposed to sleep like this. Yeah, I don't know how I don't think this is going to work. I am so scared right now. This is ugly. I don't know what I'm going to do. Oh my gosh. It was brush it out or something. Let me see. Let me see the back of your head It's like not horrible, but it's not good either Oh my gosh. Did you guys hear my stomach? I added more curls with my Dyson. I added some oil Not bad. So, we're going to Courage Bagel right now. It's 10:30. A little nervous how long the

line's going to be because there's definitely going to be a line. It's Friday. And then, oh, and then we're going to get coffee. I think we should do the bagels and like an orange juice at Courage. And then after we're gonna go to Yala Coffee and we have to try the orange blossom latte and then I'm gonna get the fig vanilla matcha - I wanted to get the matcha - Oh, really? Yeah. Oh, I thought you would want the coffee. So, I was going to get the matcha. - But I'm kind of over orange coffees. - Okay, then you get the matcha. I get the orange coffee. After that,

we have to go to the Grove to watch Wuthering Heights. So, perfect day of two unemployed girls. Oh my god, it's actually kind of long. I actually don't want it anymore. Oh, it's Oh my god, the cheese is so thick. Oh my god. So, instead of cream cheese, it's literally just blocks of cheese. I wish I could take the steering wheel off Just sit here - Mmm I can tell they use really good butter. Good tomato When I first tried Courage, I was like, why is the bagel so thin? Like, why am I getting ripped off? But that's kind of like their specialty. I love how crunchy it is, yet it is like still like chewy and bready. You know what? I'm just going to vlog on my phone because this angle is elite too. Wow. Worth the wait, right?

Wow. Actually, actually, like that's so beautiful My number one matcha in LA is Archives of Us, but they use their matcha here as well. Let's do the evil eye. And then I'll do the vanilla matcha Oh my god. Not as sweet as I thought. Matcha is so strong and like so like clear. It's not It's thick, but it's not like powdery. Right. So good. So hot. Very floral Post Wuthering Heights. I cried so much. I've never cried like that in the movie theater But I think the reason why is number one, like there was no one there. So I felt so free to cry or like talk or to do whatever. Like I wasn't bothering anyone. And two, it was just a really

sad movie. I think I cry more when it's like an unrealistic story. When it's like a realistic love story that's sad. Is handsome and he's going through childhood. Yes. I was just so sad for Jacob Elordi. But it's just like a very unrealistic story that I can't even relate to. But like I'm trying to relate to it, so it makes me cry. I was crying in the dark and now I'm out here like and the vibe is all like happy and jolly and so bright. I can't get used to it. Sad. She was a bit I'm actually My eyes are really dry. Yeah, the Withering Heights um discussion continued

in the car and like it was a good watch and I've never read the novel so I can't compare but we were comparing like what we could find about the book versus the movie and it's just very different so I understand why people were disappointed to watch the movie. Of course the lip liner that I went into Sephora for was not there. It was sold out so I just got something else. Don't need the exact same thing. I wanted that one because it's supposed to last all day. But this is also Wait, did I get the wrong one? Wait, I think I got the wrong one. This lip liner has

like a regular version, which is this, and then it has like a extreme waterproof version. And I wanted to get the waterproof version, but this is the regular version. So, I don't like this much, but I'm not going to open it. And I'm pretty sure Sephora, yeah, Sephora accepts even used makeup for exchange for refund. So I will have to go back, which is really unfortunate, but oh, I went to Brandy, of course. I had like four things in my hand, but these two made the cut long skirt, super thin and airy, and it has like a loose elastic, which I think is going to make

the skirt super comfortable because I have a long white skirt, but it's like a zipper, and it's a very sturdy cotton with no stretch, so it's not that comfy. So, I'm hoping to replace that one with this. And then these gray knit shorts. Mini shorts. Love me some mini shorts They're like somewhat structured, so I think I can wear them out without worrying that they look like underwear. When we went to dinner yesterday, we had to kill time. We went to this Japanese grocery store and picked out some snacks. So, here's a little taste test. This is what I picked out. This

banana bread. Oh my gosh. Yummy. Oh, smells like bananas already. I love banana flavored things thought it would be like a banana cream, but it's more like a paste. It's kind of dry but I kind of like making a little dry texture. This with like a glass of milk Do you have milk? Can you get me a glass, please? I'm hungry. Strawberry mochi I don't like this feeling as much. It tastes very artificial, but the mochi itself is really good Hello In-N-Out

Oh my god. I got double animal style added chopped chilies thumbnail. Um, French fries. Double. Oh, no. french fries animal style. I'm literally about to cry right now. This is our last feast I remember trying In-N-Out for the first time and then not thinking that it was good cuz I didn't order it the right way - What did you order? - Just a cheeseburger It was just too plain and dry. Yeah. I was like, "What is this?" You really got to go all out here. It's either you get this or you just don't get it at all So juicy. Mhm. Okay, that is it for my weekend mukbang vlog. Even though today's a Friday, I just

said weekend early. Locking back in tomorrow. Hope you guys enjoyed. Bye with my greasy, saucy hands
