BYU headlined by a freshman sensation, AJ Dybantsa, leading the team in scoring 25 points per game, 6.8 boards per game. I definitely think AJ's going to be a franchise changer. He's going to be either a number one or a number two pick in the NBA draft. He's an absolute walking bucket. Offensively, he might be the most complete freshman I have ever watched. Dybantsa has Andrew Rohde on him mid-post. See if he uses his length. The turnaround, that is pretty. 50% from three in those first four games. Dybantsa, he counters with a triple.
He's going to go right over the top. Elbow jumper, so smooth, so clutch. When he gets from 15 to 17 ft on in, it's almost automatic. The shots, you can tell he's put so much time into working on them. I'm actually surprised when he misses. I was so impressed with his ability to be able to get to his spots, his overall game, but that kill switch. It looked like something just turned on in him and he took it to another level. Yeah, and he just like can get his shot wherever he wants to shoot for three points, which is awesome. He's oozing confidence. When he's come He doesn't feel like he has to press or he has to prove anything because he knows
what he is. There's not a shot in the book that he feels that he can't He's the smartest film watcher of any young player. That speaks to Dybantsa's maturity, work ethic, and IQ. Dybantsa Robert Wright III Dybantsa tees up a three and knocks it down. The Cabra has it denied by Dybantsa. Great block by AJ. Abdul Ahmed Dybantsa to Tyler Bobby Hurley and I like that match up right there. Right away. You said uh-oh. I was thinking man if Brandon saying that what's Bobby Hurley saying? Yeah. That was special by Mr. O. A.J. Dybantsa says how about this?
They have three different guys that can all take over games and they understand how to play together and within the system. Oh, Dybantsa a spectacular Right. Beats the pressure. Dybantsa the layup. Blowing the other team out or if you're losing when you get uh-oh. There you go. It's time to clear the bench after that one. That was incredible. Offensively he gets it done. He's in the mid-range. He takes it to the basket. He has bump fades. He has a Dirk one-legged fadeaway jumper where he has anything you want from an offensive standpoint when it comes to scoring. He is truly special and yeah they say he might be the number one
pick and I think that is justified. He's an incredible talent on the wing. I think a Tracy McGrady archetype of that 6'8" athletic plays the wing 3-and-D type player but explosive scorer. He's very efficient not only with his dribbles but the way he scores the basketball and when he sees one go in you could be in for a very long night.
