School: Products and Why It Matters

A tester reviews nine school products designed to help students cheat, including a notebook that is actually a tablet, an arm cast with a hidden compartment, an electronic bookmark, a wireless earpiece, a handwriting machine, and a remote screen viewer. The video also features a grip spray that enhances performance in sports and a hidden camera pen. The tester demonstrates how each device works and discusses whether they should be banned.

From a printer that can finish your homework with the press of a button to a spray that will turn you into the best athlete in your class. I'm testing nine school products to see if they should be banned or not. We're starting with a product that almost every single student has in their backpack. These look like completely normal notebooks, right? Nothing unusual about them at all. But I want you to take a really close look because something about this one isn't quite right. It's actually a fully working tablet disguised as a notebook. So a student sits down, puts this on their desk and a teacher thinks it's an actual notebook. And during class, the student will open the notebook and search for

whatever answers they need. Wow, I can look up anything. You can even install AI on this and get answers instantly. And it looks just like a notebook. If tablets aren't allowed in your school, this cover should definitely be banned. Next is this arm cast that lets you cheat on any test. It has a hard shell and there's a hidden compartment that can stash tiny answer sheets. The crazy thing is that the disclaimer on the website says that no teacher will ever catch you because the cast is made to look perfectly real. So I went to a doctor and got a medical grade cast so we can compare it to the fake one.

Let's see how many differences we can spot. So first, let's feel the padding on the fake cast. This feels like cotton. Let's compare it to the medical grade. Oh wow. The medical grade feels thick and super soft. The fake cast feels rougher and lower quality. This definitely feels more professional. Sounds strong. But the one thing that fake cast has that the medical grade cast doesn't is this. It's a doctor's note the students give to their teachers to prove they got hurt. They even include a little spot here where you can fill out your own name. This should definitely stay banned. Now this next one is so subtle that I almost missed it when my team

first showed it to me. Because while this is just a typical bookmark, the bookmark is electronic. During class or during exams, a student can open their textbook and use this bookmark while the teacher isn't looking to search for definitions. Let's try it out. What does lawyer mean? They better say something nice. Professional expert in law. Wow, it really works. It got the definition of lawyer right. So this one should be unbanned. Now this next product is extremely hard to see, but it's one of the most insane products schools have banned. Try to see if you can spot it in the next 5 seconds. Did you see it? Inside my ear is a gadget that's wirelessly connected to someone outside. They can hear everything I'm saying and can even talk

to me, which could be used to give someone answers during a test. Joel, can you hear me? Yes. The reason it's banned is because some students use it to cheat on tests. Let's see how good it works. Joel, what are the seven continents? Okay. North America, South America, Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia. That's it, right? That was only six. You're missing Antarctica. Joel. But now let's see how quietly I can speak until Joel can't hear me anymore by using this decibel meter. Joel, can you hear me? Yeah.

Joel, can you hear me? Yeah, I still hear you, Mike. Joel, can you hear me? Yeah. Joel, can you hear me? Yep. Joel, can you hear me? Yeah, I still hear you. Wait, what did you say? Yeah, I hear you. Woah, the fact that Joel can still hear me when I'm barely moving my lips means that it'd be almost impossible for teachers to detect this device. This is the most overpowered product so far. This product should stay banned and Joel should keep studying. Now this next product takes cheating to a whole new level. It's a machine that claims that do your homework with your own handwriting.

First you have to teach it how you write by giving it a sample of my handwriting. Then you take a photo of it, upload it to the software, and the program studies the way you write every letter. Once it understands your handwriting, you put the homework under the machine like this. And then press print. Woah. Look how fast it is. Later in this video, we're going to try a device that gets you a perfect score on any test without even having to study. It's answering all the questions, but I'm not sure if it's all correct. It's finished. Okay, here's the AI handwriting and here's my handwriting. It answered every question in my handwriting. This definitely deserves to be banned. So this is where things start to get really interesting. In a computer

lab test, a teacher can usually see every student's screen from their computer specifically to make sure no one is cheating, but students found a way around that. Because when I plug this in, it's actually going to install a piece of software and their friend sitting somewhere else completes the entire test for them. Hands-free. Woah, something's already happening. My friend's scrolling through my videos. There's my long-form videos. You got my shorts. Woah, there's a Mike Off Record channel. That's my other channel. Make sure you subscribe to it. Look at all these cool videos. Wow. For this next test, my team is bringing in 20 random school supplies, but six of

them have a secret feature that could help a student cheat. I get 60 seconds to find as many as I can. Where would someone hide something here? I'm not finding anything. Wait, what's going on here? That's weird, isn't it? Oh, there's a note thing here. I found one of them. There's notes in there. Wow, and it actually works. Look, it's getting Sharpie all over my hand. One down, five more to go. What's in here? This doesn't seem like anything. What's this shoe? It feels weird thick in here. What is this shoe? What's this? Woah, it has a secret feature in here.

There's more notes in here. This is crazy. Things are getting advanced. All right, I got two more. Maybe it's under the label or this water bottle? Wait, what's down here? Woah. It has a fake bottom. This is a crazy way to cheat. I would never think to look here. What else is here? What is this thumb? Oh, there's notes in here. This can't actually even work though. This looks like a fake thumb. So I guess this counts so I'm keeping it, but this isn't good. I got four of them. Time!

There's two left. I don't even see where they are. Did you guys find them? You missed the calculator and the chapstick. The calculator? This just looks like a normal calculator. Wait, check this out. It has photos of notes in here. That's a clever way to cheat. I don't see how a teacher would ever catch you using this. That's crazy. Now let's check out the chapstick. It's not under the label. There's chapstick here. Oh, look it's not coming out. Maybe Look at that, a secret compartment. There's notes in here, too. Wow.

This one fooled me. Looked like real chapstick. All these are actually crazy. They should definitely stay banned except for maybe this thumb. No one's going to use this. Okay, so this next product is a little different because this one isn't just banned in schools, it's also banned in professional sports. It's called grip spray and you apply it to any surface and it becomes significantly stickier. We're going to test it right now to see if we get an advantage. First, I'm going to catch this football WITHOUT THE SPRAY. MAN. I FEEL LIKE IF I HAD THAT SPRAY, I would have caught it. Time to get this all over the gloves. Here we go.

All right, I got the spray on. Let's see if this is any better. Oh, look at that. Man, this thing is sticky. Wow. Look at that grip. That's crazy. Call me Megatron. Boom! This doesn't seem fair in football. Let's try another sport. Because the spray isn't just used for catching, it's also used on bats. The idea is that a stickier grip will get you more control over the bat on contact, which means better accuracy and more power behind each swing.

WOAH! HOME RUN! OKAY, I still got it. But let's try it with the spray. Woah! Look at that go. Grand slam! Wow, this grip is I'm stuck to the bat. I can really get some power behind this. I can even hear that. So sticky. This stuff really works. This school's been having a huge problem with cheating, so the principal asked me to show them the craziest possible way to cheat just so they can learn how to stop it. The final product is this top secret surveillance device. I'm going to use it to copy answers from a student taking a test in class. All right, class. Test time. No talking. Let's begin.

Okay, Mike, I hope you can hear me. So for number one, why do onions make you cry? It's B. They release a sulfur gas that irritates your eyes, causes them to tear up. In about 30 minutes, I'm taking the same test, but I'm going to know all the answers. Hmm, this part about This reminds me of a case I worked on where a suspect used a hidden mic and a camera to watch someone type in their phone passcode to steal it from them later. Now I understand how that might have actually worked. Woah. What is the chemical symbol for water? It's B. I got some more answers. For number four, that was close. For number four, which pairs correctly in the almond and cyanide theory? It's A, hydrogen cyanide, HCN.

Wow, this thing really works. Over the next 20 minutes, Shiloh gave me all the answers to the test. Now let's see if I can go pass the test. Let's do this. Mike, so you're looking to get back into chemistry. Yeah, I'm excited to see how I do on the test. All right, feel free to begin. I memorized all the answers and quickly filled them in. And this really shows why the product should stay banned. It was so easy to cheat like this. I'm done. Wow, that was fast. And they're all right. Well, that was eye-opening. This was a really fun

experiment. I'm glad I could help. If you want to watch more videos like this one, click this video where I test real spy gadgets.
