He's back. John Cena is heading to WWE Backlash. He tweeted earlier today, quote, "It's official. I'm headed to WWE Backlash. After months of planning and effort, I am so excited to break some history making news. I can't promise it'll be perfect, but I can promise it will change the WWE experience for superstars and fans. See you live Saturday in Tampa or at home on the ESPN." And we are so happy to have 14time champion WWE superstar Charlotte Flair joins Sports Center. Okay, so what should fans expect with that news? Well, John Cena, Tampa is his backyard. He's the GOAT. I feel like anytime he's in the ring, he's either making history, breaking records, and even though he's retired, anytime we have the opportunity
to have Cena back in the ring, it's going to be special. Yeah, we'll certainly because he is special. We'll certainly look forward. He's one of the goats. Exactly. Totally agree. Great to have him back. Uh I want to talk a little bit about you. You're coming off of a tough loss on Smackdown to JC Jane who picked up her first win of her Smackdown career. How are you handling that defeat? Here's the thing. Um nobody likes to lose even if it's threeon-one. However, I am the 14time women's champion. That means I've lost 13 times, but I've always come back better and stronger. And um ultimately I see a bright future
for JC Jane, Laney Reid, uh Fallon. They made a big impact. I know it's hard to come up, but uh people are talking and I'm looking forward to seeing what they're going to do even though they beat me, but revenge is in my future. I like how you said I always come back stronger, so just wait. Um you also have a lot of history with backlash. Which match are you most looking forward to? And this isn't because I'm biased uh about the women, but definitely IO Sky vers Asuka. I have a lot of history with Asuka. I ended her undefeated streak. I've had the opportunity to face Io multiple times. They're both international superstars. I think um given the time and the story that they have, they could potentially steal the
show. And I have no doubt that they will. And that's just not me saying it as a woman just, you know, praising a female match. They're that talented and they have a special style. You can see with their entrances and also the story, if people go back, you know, IO and Oscar were in damage control for the last two years led by Bailey. I think they're going to do a hell of a job. Yeah. And there's so much drama between the two, too, which we love. Yes. Okay, so a lot of rising talent featured on Saturday. Who should fans be focused on?
Uh, in my opinion, the first one would be Trick Williams. his entrance. You can see everyone standing. The fans are already connecting with him. The charisma, the size, he just looks like a stud, an athlete. I mean, look at him. Um, then a little biased, Braun Breaker. Given he's a second generation talent, he was out on injury. When he came back, he made definitely an impact um at WrestleMania. and facing Seth, who is one of, you know, the greats of my generation. I definitely think those two are, you know, Trick Williams and Braun Breaker are definitely breakout stars in the next couple years.
