Hey, you want some free stuff on your next long haul flight? Well, fellow travelers, there's some things you should expect to get if you're taking a longhaul flight. Now, this is not on every airline when it comes to long haul flights. And if you're on a budget airline, I honestly wouldn't expect pretty much any of these things, but I kind of want to give you an idea because I've got a lot of questions lately about people going on their first trip to Europe or their first trip to Asia and they're doing this or to the US. They've got this long haul flight and they don't know what they need to bring with them. So, they need to know what might they have on the plane for me. Okay? So,

we're going to go through that. And the one thing I want to tell you, no matter what flight you're on, if you're coming from the US, you're going wherever, you're coming over here to Europe, water. You're always going to be able to get water for free on the plane. Now, if you're on those airlines that like to sell bottled water, yeah, you could pay for bottled water on some of them, but just plain tap water stuff, they need to have that for you. So, you can have that. I do recommend if you're doing the long haul flights, they'll come through in the night and offer you water. It is always a good idea to keep drinking that water because when you're flying, you get very dehydrated. That's why your

nose gets all like the crusties in it and stuff like that and you get all that weird dry mouth. You want to drink all that free water they have for you. Now, another thing that can be free on there are non-alcoholic drinks. Now, some long haul flights will have free drinks like beer and wine, but maybe not mixed drinks. Sometimes you get alcohol in there, but in general, you're going to get free non-alcoholic drinks. So, your Coca-Cas, your juices, these kind of things, they'll have those for free, too. And especially with their meal service because if you have a flight over a certain number of time, they're

required to give you, you know, food and, you know, meals on a long haul flight. And again, probably not going to be the greatest meal ever. That's why I usually eat before I go to the airport. But they will give you some kind of food and snack if it's going to be a long haul flight for free. Now again, if you're on one of these lowcost airlines, they might not be doing that. But if you're on a legacy carrier like a Delta or British Airways, you're going to get a meal on that longhaul flight for free, okay? Another thing you're going to get a lot of times is inflight entertainment because they know they can't have people sitting there for 8 hours in a plane and give them nothing to do. Cuz even though

we all walk around with our phones, does yours last for 8 hours? I don't think so. So, a lot of times you will have in-flight entertainment which will be movies, TV shows, maybe music, games, these kind of things. However, I do recommend if you don't like those little earbuds, you might want to bring your own earphones. Especially if you have kids, okay, if you have kids, you want to have overear things cuz they're little ears can't hold those earbuds in. And the kid headphones do not work on planes because the planes are too loud. So, they need to have like adult headphones, okay, going on there.

Also, um the inflight entertainment may be free, but I have seen with those headphones, some of them actually charge you to get the headphones. So maybe just throw in a headphones in your bag just to be safe. But in general, you know, inflight entertainment is a nice little freebie they might give you. Now, another thing, let's say you're reaching down into the, you know, the compartment there to grab something. You're getting your bag out of the top and you get a little cut or anything like that. Basic first aid. Yes, they have basic first aid. And unlike everywhere in the US where they charge you like a million dollars for anything

on the plane, basic first aid stuff, you need a band-aid, you need something, that's free. So that's a nice little thing there. So if you do have a little injury, do bring it up to them. Now, if you're going to be on a longhaul overnight flight, a lot of times sometimes it can get chilly on those flights. And a lot of times there'll be pillows uh and blankets for each of the seats that are there. If there isn't any there, you might want to ask, "Hey, do you have a pillow or blanket I could use?" And a lot of times they have it there to use for free. So that's nice. Now for my fellow husky travelers, another thing that's free on there are the seat belt extenders. Maybe you're a bit of a husky traveler like myself and you need

a little bit of extra wiggle room in those seat belts. Don't worry, they're not going to make you pay for that. That's a free thing as well. And I do recommend if you think you might need one or you know you need one when you're coming onto the plane, just mention it to the flight attendant as you come in and they'll get it for you later on. Like they'll bring it to you so you don't have to worry about it later so you do have it. Now, what about for the kitties? Well, one of the things I always love when the boys were little, one of the free things they'd be given all the time are their wings. And it's like maybe it's a Delta pen or United pen or a British Airways pen, Lanchi.

Like we had so many. The boys had so many back in the day. But for a lot of times they see little kids like, "Oh, it could be their first time flying and they give them a little pin and that's us that's always free." So you give them that. But there's another thing. If you see the pilot on some airlines, they have trading cards of the plane you're on. And we've got 737, we got Airbus ones, we got all kind from Delta and other airlines. So that could be something you might want to ask for. They don't give it for, but you could ask if you see the pilot or a co-pilot. So that could be something fun for the kids to collect. And then probably the one thing that you're going to get for free, and this is on any flight. This is a long haul,

short distance, fancy airline, lowcost one, is everybody's germs. That's right, folks. When you fly, you got recycled air. And yes, they do clean things up. But that table that you're using, the tray table there, yeah, it doesn't have mud on it, but that doesn't mean it's clean. So, you might want to bring some sanitizer and wipes to clean things off because otherwise you're going to bring home in a lot of germs from your next flight. But hey, they're for free. Anyway, these are just some like fun free things you might get on over a long haul flight if you're going to be traveling. I got this question quite a bit, so I thought I'd put this together to help you know what you should expect

to get on your next flight. So, let us know what was the free stuff you got on your last flight or was it anything? Cuz sometimes you don't get anything because I've been some where I got like a whole kit with like a toothbrush and toothpaste. One time I got a t-shirt and socks. I'm like, "Cool. I got like a sleeping shirt on my flight." Very nice. But let us know in the comments below to share some of the fun free things that you got on the plane. Or tell us some of the weird stuff they made you pay for on a plane. Let us know in the comments below. Oh, also if you're a mom or a parent that has a baby with formula, they got to give you the water for free.

Okay? So, you can get one. Like, they won't give you bottled water, but they'll give you tap water for free to make the formula. Anyway, I wish you all the best. I'll say bye from here in London. And happy travels, safe travels, and hopefully you get some cool free stuff.
