You better win because you a draw is not enough. Spurs start needs to start getting three points. Uh fameless Friday, Adoba alongside Flex. All right, let's turn our attention to the bottom of the Premier League. We've been talking for an hour about the top. Uh we still might go back. Let's talk about the bottom though. Spurs currently in the bottom three for the first time this season. Two points behind West Ham who've just found something, haven't they, under Nuno Esprito Des Santo. same thing that I guess that Spurs fans will be hoping they can find under Deserby who's going to come in and light a fire under a few of these Spurs boys backsides. But I just don't know if
they've got enough games to produce. Uh this is a team that lost to Sunderland which is the reason they're in the bottom three. But this is a team that haven't won a Premier League game all year. It's 14 games. 14. How some people are thinking that somehow they can start winning games now is beyond me. Um I just don't see it. I the players have obviously let the club down. There's certain players that you expect more from. Um Salanki, he's an England international striker. You expect more from him. You look at the midfield. That's not quite worked as well, has it? They've tried different combinations in the midfield. Romero at the back's been an embarrassment as a of a captain.
They're in big trouble, Spurs. Big trouble. Monumental trouble. And they have been for ages. like it's only intensified now because they are physically in the relegation zone and what that does to you mentally you know there'll be a lot of you know forest fans and West Ham fans that will be able to resonate with that type of understanding and understand that type of feeling of what it's like to actually be in a relegation zone and this is the issue Spurs players obviously the fans don't but the actual Spurs players they don't know the feeling of that's very interesting isn't it you're Right. Because the players of those other teams, so as you mentioned, West Ham, Forest, it leads to an extent as well. They've done that. They understand it.
They understand it. The fans do go one nil down in them big games like doesn't mean as much. Next week, we keep going. And do you know what I mean? If you get Max Scott in here right now and say, "What's it been like in when Nuno kept you up and this that m it was this? We had to keep the but the Spurs fans, the Spurs institution, they don't understand what that is. And then there's one thing being in freef fall, but to actually be in the relegation zone and now there's six games left, it changes the connotations of everything because I look at their team. I look at the team that started at Sunderland, right? And I know it's cheeky because they haven't won a game in ages. But when you just
look at the player for player, I'm like I don't think they should be 18th though. They still shouldn't. Now the managers deserve as well. Like you say they're not great but Zanki Ralison Berg Val the 10 Cola Milani Gray and Gallagher in there you know workh horses parro attacking right back got a bit of quality van know he might be a little bit overrated but he's quick he can look after himself yes Romero gives you bad moments but you know what I look at shouldn't be I'm I'm removing just skill set I'm looking at I look at that and I feel like they've got fighters there I don't particularly rate but he's he's he can be a dog That's what they bought him in for. They bought Collago in for this role, right? Romero, we know
what he's like as well. Pedro Por, these are players that I expect to be able to fight. Exactly. Showing no. But you know why? Because it's not just about ability. Now it's about mentality. Now it's about, you know, I watched when the ball hit off Mickey Vanderven's foot and deflected in the goal at the Stadium of Light. You see that big outpour of dejection. Oh my god, how's that gone in? nothing's going for us. And now Derby is right. He's like the fear now. It's about fear. That's what's that's what they're being governed by now is fear.
And they're tense and they're anxious and they're nervous and they just need I know this is like a cliche here, but they just need one win to be like, "Oh my gosh, we can win a football match again." What everyone's writing them off, right? And I get why because they're the worst of the worst. But we have to remember in relegation battles, results happen that we don't think. There's a reason why they're all down there because every single one of them have been poor all season. Yeah. That's why there's only three points or six points around them.
Somebody finds something. And I just It's weird. Don't ask me to back it up with football stats cuz you're going to go, "Well, where'd you get that from?" I just feel like they're going to be all right. But every sing every single team around them Yeah. is finding a result here. I know. Even the team that they are fighting relegation with came to their ground and smacked them 3-0. Do you know what I mean? Now it's this bad that they could actually get a win but Forest can beat Burnley at home I believe. So it's like say Spurs get this almighty win against Brighton but then Forest win.
It's demoralizing. Yeah. So like it's it's going against everything I'm saying but like I don't know. I just feel like Deser is going to find a way to win a couple of games. I just That's not the reason. You're lying. Is it because I think Spurs are too? Yes. But I don't though. No, you do though. Is it? We all do. It's like Spurs are too big to go down. No, they're not. They're That's the convers cuz if you just go by just form and result then there is zero way they can do it. But West Ham, but I'm looking at Forest's run yet. No, no, no. It's not easy. Look at Spurs's run. Spurs have Brighton, who by the way are going for European contention. Who by the way's old team.
I've got a good record against Spurs as well. Wolves. Okay, maybe that's the one. But Wolves away difficult. Villa top four leads at home. You got to win. They got to win it. Got to win. I do you know what I think? Do you know what this might be mad? I'll tell you now. They're not beating Chelsea. No, no, no. They're not. They're not winning that one. Here's what I think. And this we can look back on this in four weeks time and maybe I'll go, "Wow, Adam, remember that day I said this.
Here's what I actually think. I actually think they're going to beat Brighton. I do. I think they're going to beat Brighton. I think they're going to based off. Just don't ask me what it's based off. Oh, don't ask what it's based on. I think they're No, wait, wait, let me finish. I think they're going to beat Brighton leads and Wolves and they'll be able to stay up from that. That's just what I think. Okay. And can I go now? Yeah, you can go. Based off what? I don't know. Okay. So, this I just feel it based off spursm. I just I don't know. I don't know what it is. I just think that something happens.
Could it be because deserby? Is that your thing? Deserby. Yeah. deserve extra time with them. I And again, it's not based off results. Obviously, I just got this thing inside me that's going flex. They're going to stay up. Right. Let's hear from the new Spurs boss. Obviously, he's trying different things. And one thing he has tried to do is take the team out for a meal and someone asked him why. Yes. I don't know if uh we win the game for dinner. I know we hit very well. The food was uh amazing.
Uh, and if I pay if I if we win uh, I'm ready to pay every week one uh, one dinner. That going down to go down in trouble. That dinner didn't go well. Yeah, you can tell someone either didn't turn up. I didn't know he said it like that. I knew the quotes of like he took him to I didn't know that's what he actually said. There you heard it from him. But he does have to listen, we can clown and mock, but like let's be honest, where those players are at mentally, there has to be some sort of intervention. Why did he take the job?
Um because they gave him an awful lot of money and it's all on his terms and he's laughing all the way to the bank. Yeah. Do you think he stays if they go down? Uh yes, cuz Yeah, the contract that he signed there's no break clause. There's no get out clause for him. So I would say yes. So you would think that is weird for deserves to do that, but remember they didn't get him in the summer. He wanted to wait until the summer. Sorry. you know, they've had to go back and beg him and give him every single thing he wants, everything.
I think he's taking it. I think he's taken it and he's looked at the squad and he's like, "Okay, Romero's there. Kudos is coming back." There is a lot of talk about Madison in training and all of a sudden Kudos isn't coming back. Romero is now out for the season. And he's thinking, "Oh my god." Yeah. So, I've lost my captain and my talisman that's what Romero is, right? And I've lost that one player that could come back and just do something. You know, everyone needs that one player and Curus is the guy that can pick the ball up and maybe do something. He's now lost those.
Yeah. So, defensively, and you're right, I think Vanderin is overrated a lot as well because of his pace. Defensively, without Romero, that they're just Well, even with he's been a liability, mate, they're probably better off with Dan over. I'm honest. Yeah, true. If I'm being honest with what Romero's turned in anytime he has been fit, it's been red cards, petulence, you know, calling out the ownership, you know, then followed by another bad uh bad performance. Dano will probably just keep it basic, heart on your sleeve, don't do anything silly, no ego, nothing crazy. You're probably better off with him.
Yeah, they're going to need a tune out of Salanki towards the end of the season. They need the whole front line. Got to get Javi Simmons playing. Surely he can. There's got cuz it needs some invention. Do you know what I mean? And I know he's a bit lightweight. He's obviously struggled. Clearly deserve gone. We're fighting. I don't fancy you. But against Brighton, he's got to play him, man. Got to try and get something out of him. Big money. And he's And if he's on it, he can give you something. Do you think they go down?
No. Oh, you So, you think West Ham go or Forest? Who do you think goes then? Good question. I didn't think about that. I've only thought about Spurs. I ain't got that. There's leads as well. There's three, isn't there? Um, I think Leeds will be all right. I think Lee will be fine. I'm going to go West Ham. Forest will be fine. You think West Ham go down? I'm going to go West Ham. Okay, cool. I think Spurs uh go down. Uh, tomorrow prediction. You think Spurs beat Brighton?
I do. Yeah. Uh, it's 2-1. Spurs's first win in the Premier League and it's just going to what first win in 15 it would be it's going to make them feel so much lighter. They're going to take a big sigh of relief. Could be massive. You're right. It could be massive. I mean on AM on DAV via the Talk Sport app and on your smart speaker. Talk Sport.
