Jimmy Fallon's Thank You Notes: Mother's Day, Wedding Registries, and CarPlay

-It is the end of the week, and that's usually when I catch up with some personal stuff. I check my inbox, I return some emails, and, of course, I send out Thank You Notes. And I was running a bit-- [Cheers and applause] Thank you. Was running a bit behind today. So I thought, if you guys wouldn't mind, I'd like to write out my weekly Thank You Notes right now. Is that okay with you? [Cheers and applause] James, can I get some Thank You Note writing music, please? -Whoomp, there he is.

Right there. -He's remembering an old joke. -"Hmm. Hmm!" -[Chuckles] Thank you, Mother's Day, for being a nationwide test to see if Amazon's same-day delivery really works. "I forgot!" Thank you, arched floor lamps, for always looking like you're saying, "So.whatcha readin'?" "Mm! Interesting." [Chuckles] Thank you, wedding registries, for being a convenient way to show your dearest friends how much you care.

Did I ever give you a cutting board for a present? -I think you did. -I had a phase where I was giving people cutting boards. -But it wasn't a run-of-the-mill cutting board. -No, it was in the shape of the state that you were born in. -Yeah. It was an Iowa. Shape of Iowa.

-Yeah. Do you know where it is? -No. I threw it away. -Okay. -[Chuckles] -[Laughs] -[Laughing] Thank you. [Rim shot] "Hell no. I remember it was in the shape of Iowa." -Yeah. -"It fit perfectly in the garbage can." Thank you, CarPlay, for being a great way to use GPS, play music, and have everyone in the car read all of my incoming texts. -Bloop! -That's my biggest regret.

[Chuckles] -Ooh! -Thank you, UPS sending photo proof of a delivery, for being the only time it's okay to send a stranger a photo of your package. -Oh, yeah! Whoa! -Hey-oh! Hey! Whoomp! There it is! -Ho! -Whoomp! There it is! -U.S. Mail! -[Chuckles] Thank you, glitter, for still reminding me a year later about that one time I used glitter. There you have it, everybody.
