My friends, welcome to this episode of the Outdoor Gear Review. I hope you all are doing well. Over the last couple of years, Naturehike has been releasing a bunch of very large, very inexpensive tents. This one here is the Village four-person tent, and in my opinion, the value of this tent is unreal. In my opinion, this is the very best one. Yes, this tent is large, but it's not too large, right? You could still move this. You could still set this up, and it's relatively easy to dry. At the same time, the quality is great, the ventilation is great, it handles weather of all types with ease, and the price on this is really, really fair. When I
began testing out this tent, it was in the summertime of 2025. I tested it out through the summer, through the fall, through the winter, and now in the spring of 2026, I'm ready to pass on my review of this tent. I have used this shelter in very hot conditions. I've used this shelter in very stormy, wet conditions. I've used it in the cold. I've used it in the ice and the snow, and I can tell you all this. This shelter here is just about perfect. What this tent offers, as far as capability and value goes, is virtually unmatched. This is a great example of a company offering a high-quality product at a fair price. There's a lot of companies out there who overcharge their products,
who overcharge their customers for no other reason outside of just simple greed. This here is a really good example of what this type of shelter should cost. We will come back to that point and touch upon some others a moment. First things first, I do need to state that I have a preview concerning this tent, and in that preview, I go over every single aspect, every single stat, every single feature. In this episode here, I'm not going to touch upon those points. This episode here is my review of this shelter, and in this episode, I'm going over the pros and the cons and my experiences while testing this out. That way, you have all the information that you need to decide whether or not this is a good fit for
you. With this shelter here, this is a fantastic three-plus season tent. If you haven't heard that expression before, basically it means that it's an excellent performer in the summertime, but it can also be used in the wintertime, in colder conditions. This is an interesting hybrid sort of shelter. It excels in the summertime when it's really hot, and at the same time, you can totally use this when it's really, really cold out. With the vast majority of large-size tents that are out on the market, they are good for only one thing. Maybe they're good for summertime use, but not cold-weather use, or maybe they were designed for cold-weather use and not summertime use. With this one here, you truly can use it
in all seasons, in all weather conditions. You can see here at the front of this tent, we have this large awning. But get this, this is only half of the awning. This tent comes with an extension for the awning, so you can essentially double the length of this if you want to. The tent does come with the poles, the tent stakes, the guy lines, basically everything that you need to set this up. When it comes to the dimensions of this tent, it has a peak height of 6 ft 1 in. It's roughly 6 ft 11 in wide, and it is 8 ft 2 in long. In other words, my friends, this is a very big tent. Naturehike claims that this is a four-person tent. Technically, you can get four people inside of this, but you
really wouldn't want to. Three people plus gear, that's fine. This is a palace for two people plus gear, or for one person. There is plenty of space for multiple cots, multiple chairs, tables, cookware, so on and so forth. It's important to know that there are numerous versions and also different sizes of this tent here, of the Village. We have the regular Village. We have the light version of the Village. And the light version is a scaled-back, less expensive version that, honestly, I don't recommend. The features that they have taken away are fairly important. I do have a video on this, so make sure to check that out if you're curious about the differences between the regular version and the light. You can find this
in a four-person regular. There's also a four-person version that has like screened-in vestibule spaces. There's a regular eight-person version. There's also an eight-person version with screened-in porches. And then going back to the light, you have a four-person and also an eight-person. The company, Naturehike, has done a really good job of creating a ton of options. That can be a little bit confusing. There are so many different versions and sizes of this tent that, again, it can be a little bit overwhelming. This is the regular version, and this is the version that I would recommend for most people. And that's because this tent here offers a really good balance of everything,
right? A good balance of size, a good balance of weight, a good balance of price, of value. Naturally, you need what you need, and you want what you want, so you may want a larger tent. With that being said, I would start by taking a look at this tent here to see if it fits your needs, because there's a very important point that you need consider when it comes to going with a tent larger than this. And that point is more than just the setup size, right? If you have an eight-person tent, it's twice the size of this one. Yes, that's important, but there's more to it. Let's say that you take this four-person tent out, and it rains, or condensation forms on the inside of the fly because of the
conditions and whatnot. What I'm talking about is when you break down this tent, you take it home, and then you have to dry this thing out. With the four-person version that you see here, it is very large, but yet you can still manage to take care of it, dry it out, and whatnot. With the eight-person versions of these tents, they are so big, and the flies themselves feature so much material, it can be a real chore to dry those tents out. Even with this four-person version here, this fly is gigantic, and you're going to need a substantial amount of space to take this home, set it up, and to dry out the components. And that is something that needs to be considered with these tents, with tents of this size. Again, with the
four-person version of the tent, it's quite manageable. With the eight-person version, which I also have, it is extremely difficult to manage that tent. It is so heavy, so long, there's so much material, and the fly is so big, it can be a serious chore. It could be a serious job to dry that thing out. When the tent is stored, it measures 38 and 1/2 in long, 9.8 in by 9.8 in. It's big, but yet it's still very much manageable. The weight of this tent is 30 lb, and the primary material for this tent, with the fly and the inner, is polyester. The quality of this tent here is incredible, especially for the price. Every single
stitch is perfect. My version here has no loose threads at all. All of the seam tape is excellent. There's no issues there, either. And over the last year or so, this tent has held up incredibly well. Again, I have used this in all sorts of conditions, including very strong wind, and yet it's perfect. This tent will go on for many, many years. The frame system, which is integrated, is top-notch. It's very sturdy, very stable, and also very rigid. When you have this set up, it doesn't go anywhere. That's especially true if you anchor this thing down with guy lines. On the inside of the tent, we have a ton of space. It's a palace for one to two people, good for three. Four is absolutely pushing it. Three plus a
little bit of gear, that's where I would recommend the cutoff line being, but if you want to, you can get four people inside of this. Concerning the setup process, all in all, it is very easy. This is certainly not an instant setup tent, but you can do it rather quickly. Unfolding the frame, setting all of that out, making sure everything's fully extended, and then getting the fly on, the process of setting up this tent is definitely going to take some time, but it's not bad at all. It's certainly not difficult. Is it instant? No. Is it quick? Kind of. Breaking down the tent is just as easy. Unfortunately, there is a problem, and that comes with the
storage bag that is included with this tent. At least with the version that I have, that I purchased, the storage bag is, unfortunately, too small for the tent. Since day one, I've been unable to get the tent back into the storage bag and actually zip it up. With that said, there is a good possibility that Naturehike has addressed this since I put up my initial preview. And I say this because I've heard from other viewers who have purchased this tent after my preview, and they were able to get their tents to fit inside of the storage bag, which tells me that the company has done something to improve that. They've done something to enlarge the storage bag so that you can get everything to fit. But with mine here,
it does not fit. I cannot get it zipped up, no matter how tight I roll everything up. It just simply doesn't fit. Concerning ventilation with this tent here, it is a 10 out of 10. For summertime camping, this is absolutely perfect. On the inner, you have countless windows that feature a ton of mesh. You can also seal up those windows if you do not want airflow coming inside of the tent inner. At the top of the tent, you have very large mesh panels, which release heat, which release moisture, which decreases overall condensation building up on the inside of the fly. For warm-weather camping, this is one of the best large tents out on the market today. And when it begins to cool down, you can dial in the amount
of airflow that you want going inside of the tent. The fly itself has windows, which you can open or close. Then on the inner itself, you have the exact same feature. You have fabric panels, which you can have zipped up if you do not want airflow inside of the tent, or if you do want airflow, you can zip those down. With airflow being so good inside of this tent, condensation control is also very, very good. Yes, condensation can form on the fly itself, but not one time for me with all of my testing has that been an issue. I've never had water or anything like that dripping into the inner, even though, again, condensation can form on the inside of the fly. The reason for that is simple. This tent was
designed not only for really nice, calm conditions, beautiful warm days, but it was also designed to be a storm fortress, which it is. The fly that you see here goes all the way down to the ground and you can seal it up, meaning that you can absolutely seal up the tent and hold in as much heat as you want to or you can open up some of the windows, crack the door and so on. If a severe thunderstorm is in the area and there's a lot of wind blowing rain, you can seal it up. If you're camping in the wintertime and it's really, really cold, you can seal it up. If it's warm out, you can ventilate in all sorts of ways. As far as waterproofness goes concerning the shelter, it's a 10 out of 10. Not
one time have I had this tent leak and it doesn't matter how hard it was raining out, it doesn't matter how hard the wind was blowing, this tent, without a doubt, is impressively waterproof and I trust this to go through any storm system. Next, everyone, we have to talk about the awning system. This is good for dry conditions only. If it begins to rain, you will need to seal this up so that the inner does not get wet. Again, this tent does come with an extended awning, which I tend not to use all that much. This is good enough. With the extension, all of a sudden, this tent becomes extremely long and you're going to need a ton of space to set it up with that extension. It's really cool that
the extension is included, especially at this price. Very easily, the company could charge extra for that, but they don't. Also, the poles for the awning are included and that's a nice touch. The next point I want to touch upon is the blackout feature that is built into the rain fly. You may find this as a positive, you may find this as a con. Basically, with the fly itself, you can see this silver material here. This is a blackout material. So, if you have the tent completely sealed up, it is almost pitch black inside of the tent. You may like this or you may want something that
lets in a little bit more light. Again, this could be a pro or a con, depending on what your preferences are. For myself, it's not a feature that I like or dislike. In the end, it doesn't really matter to me all that much. With that being said, if I need more light, I'll just open up the windows and all of that and it balances everything out nicely. The last point that I want to touch upon in this review is value. The cost of this tent, the full retail price, is $300, but it's always on sale. It's a no-brainer. Even at $300, this is a no-brainer. This shelter is incredibly storm proof. The ventilation is amazing, the quality is amazing, it sets up very quick, it's very large, you have a ton
of space inside of it and the value is really, really good, especially when you compare this to other large four-person size tents. This here is way better than any Coleman tent. This here is better than any Core tent. This here is way better than any Gazelle tent. This tent offers those who are considering it a ton of value. At the same time, a lot of versatility. You can use this in the summertime when it's really, really hot or you can use it in the fall in the winter when it's getting cold. You can very easily, with proper ventilation, have a heater inside of this and you could be extremely comfortable. As I stated before, this tent here is a really good example of a company offering a really good product at a fair
price and the simple truth is, there's no tent like this out on the market today that matches the overall performance of this tent and also the value. Do you know this, everyone? This is an agenda-free review. I do not care if you purchase this tent. I never do sponsored videos or content on my channel. This channel is all about sharing information and perspective and that's it. I have shared with you all what I like and dislike about this shelter and I've given you a lot to think about. If this tent is good for you, then great. If it's not a good fit, then great. In the end, it does not matter to me at all. Again, I'm here to share information and that's all. With that said, this is easily one of the best Naturehike tents
that I've ever tested and I like it a lot. It's a great performer at a great price and again, it offers you a ton of versatility. Versatility that you do not find with most large size tents. If you found this episode helpful or at least interesting, please hit the thumbs up. That's a great way to support this channel. Everyone, thank you so much for tuning in. Make sure to sound off in the comment section down below, share your thoughts. What do you all think about this tent? Is this tent a good fit for you? If yes, if no, sound off as to why. Until next time, everyone. Take care, be well, strength and honor.
