So, today's 19th of April would have been Dad's 74th birthday. So, we were just reflecting, especially having had a few quite adventurous deer rescues lately. We were reflecting on one of our favorites of his deer rescues that just had the most beautiful outcome. Well, I had a call about the deer. The lady in the house was distraught. She was screaming, "It's in a gate somewhere." So, oh, and there it is. Oh. Okay, I'm just going to catch I think we can do this. I'm going to get past it and cover its head. Then we'll come back and put it out this way. All right, sweetheart. All right, I know. Here we are. Right, that
might just take a bit of the pressure off it. It's not badly hurt. All right, come on, sweetheart. Come on. Here we are. Come on. Okay, we come here. Come on. All right. All right, come on. I know. No, that's silly, isn't it? Okay, I'm probably just going to let him go straight from here cuz heart's beating hard. I just want to check there's no major wounds on his side, which I'm sure there's not. Even for such a little deer, they've got a very big kick. I just heard a huge bellow from the mum so she shot the back. So, I'm going to let him go straight out this way. He should be fine. Going to go and see your mum. Go
on then. Go and see your mum. You're free now. Come on, you're free. Look at that. Off like a racing car. And it's spectacular. Let's go and see what's going on. Oh, look, they met up together. Oh, I can't believe I can't ever describe it, but what an amazing feeling it is. It's just so special. That is a beautiful, beautiful sight. See them all going off. Here come the horses to meet them. They're going through the next fence. And it's so beautiful. [snorts] I bet mum is pleased to have her baby back. We turned up, the mum was very distraught. This deer was
screaming, but we were able to release it just so quickly and straight out into the wild again. But, it's just spectacular.
