Welcome to deep Guizhou province, China, guys. And in this video, we're attempting to eat over 100 USD of amazing street food. This is our la zi tai wang la and just one of many street foods. Let's get right into it. Welcome to deep China. I came here specifically to see just how far 100 USD will go eating street food and whether it's any good at all. Cuz make no mistake, this is deep China. So the food could be insanely delicious or it could be not any good at all. So today my mission is to see just what I can get with 100 US dollars and rank each dish on a tier list, too. And by the end if there's multiple S-tier dishes, they're going to battle it out to reveal only one winner

to go into the god tier level. And first up, we're going in deep to the local market to see what we can find. First up in the market, we just found the most amazing spicy rice noodle roll and he's preparing hundreds of them here. Take a look at this, guys. Oh, jigu shi la jiao you ma. Look at that, he's adding chili oil. So he's got these rice noodles. They've got some firm texture to them. Mixing them around, tons of chili. Jigu shi Guizhou la jiao ma? Guizhou la jiao. Hen xiang ma hai xiang la? Hen xiang. They're more aromatic than spicy. Zui you la jiao you suan hai you.

Oh, and they've got their secret ingredients in there as well. Oh, so he's extracting the oil back into that kettle and putting it into a container and then adding oh, more ground chili and chives. Oh, and there it is. Tai wang la. So it's $2. Xie ni. And here it is, guys. Look at that. I want a full flavor first bite. Let's try it out. Mhm. Wow. So far we're off to a great start. Hao. Xie jian. Wow. Let's see what else we can find. Tai wang la. And well, that was good. It wasn't quite S-tier. And remember, guys, there can only be one winner at the end to take the position of god tier. So if there's multiple S-tier dishes, they're going to have to battle it out. Let's see if we can find any more S-tier dishes in this deep region of China. Okay, next up, guys. Look at this. We are at a local street stall area. Tons of special street stalls, Guizhou style. Let's just go check it out, see what we can find. Oh, and look at this, guys. Jigu shi ma? Zhe shi man tou ma? Ke yi lai ge ma?

peanut, the fatty pork, the pickled veg. It's like a Guizhou sandwich. Mhm. Wow, that is delicious. What a flavor combo. The sausage is sweet. The bread is like smoky and crispy. It's super crunchy, a little sweet from the sausage, spicy, and it's got the jiao gen fish root. And now we're talking. This is a solid A-tier simply because of how unique it is. I don't think I've ever tasted that flavor combo before. So complex with sweet, spicy, smoky, sour, and pungent. So delicious. Hao chi de? Wow. Guizhou han bao? Guizhou hamburger. Mhm. Hao chi de? Wow. Hen you te se? Very unique.

She's loaded it with that chicken floss with seaweed, fatty pork belly, sugar, two different types of yellow pea starch, peanuts, sesame. Let's just go right in. Mhm. Wow. There's a lot of flavors in that. It's umami from that chicken floss with seaweed, sweet from the sugar, nutty from the sesame and the peanut.

Crispy as well. Very unique. For me, this was a solid B-tier. Very tasty and I could eat it over and over, but maybe not every day. And the price? 12 RMB, about $2. We're making our way through this $100. I think we're getting closer and closer. But let's keep going. And next up, before having perhaps the best lunch of my entire trip in Guizhou, we're going back into the market deep to get some more amazing street snacks and you won't believe what we found. Okay, guys, and right up here there's a crazy market. But before then, just found a super busy bao zi stall. And look at all the types of bao zi we've got here, guys. We've got the three fillings, we've got the shao mai, the sticky rice, dim sum. Uh ni hao.

Jigu shi ma? Ah, san xian ma? Hao. Lai ge san xian. Ah, san xian ke yi a. Oh, look at that. San xian shao rou, dou sha, hai you tang. Oh, sweet. Amazing. Xie ni. So it's it's pork, sugar, and red bean. Tai wang la. Xie ni. And I think we just found the biggest buns in China, guys. Look at that. That is san xian, which is pork, dou sha, which is red bean and sugar. I think that's all combined together. Look at that. Oh ho. Look at that. Wow. Absolutely stuffed. Oh, yeah. Let's just try it out. Look at that. Absolutely juicy and plump. Mhm. Oh.

Mhm. I never thought that would work. It's like a sweet pork bun. A sweet savory red beany pork bun. Honestly, this is S-tier. I don't think I've ever had a better bao zi in my life. So juicy and sweet and aromatic with the red bean. Absolutely nothing better. Hao. Xie ni ma? Hao. Bye-bye. Tai hao chi le. Let's keep it going, guys. This market up ahead just looks absolutely amazing. Let's go see what we can find. Oh, that's just addictive. Mhm. Check this out. The street market is just bustling with action and we're going to see what we can find to eat.

Okay, guys, and next up, we've just found the ultimate. Look at this, guys. Street contraption. This is street popcorn in China. Oh, and he's just adding in the kernels here. Look at that. It's like a popcorn cannon. Oh, just adding a little water there. And then he's going to Oh, that's a compression. You need that tight. Put it over the coals. It's going to spin and I think once that pressure gauge gets to a certain level, he's going to open it. And let's see what happens. Sui niu nuo mi? You mi? Hai you shi ma? Okay, so he's got popcorn, pop rice, and then a sweet popcorn. Okay, here we go. Another round of steam.

HERE WE GO. OH. THAT WAS A GOOD ONE. WOW. OH, hen xiang de. Oh, and here comes. Oh, and there it is, guys. Look at that. Fresh popcorn right off the street. It smells so nutty, so aromatic. Wow. We're going to get one bag. Look at that, guys. Fresh popcorn. Try it out. It's like a nutty popcorn, smoky and crunchy. It's crunchier than most popcorn I've ever had. For me, this is between the B and a C tier. It was good, but not insanely good. So, I think I'm going to put this in the C tier. But, will we find any S tier dishes later on? Let's find out. She asked what I come here for. I save her farm?

Yeah. Beautiful pleasure. Yeah. And so far, this is just the morning market. The dishes are going to be getting better and better as we make our way to lunch and dinner time. And next up, we found another super unique snack. Okay, next up, guys. We found a super unique specialty. It's a tudou. It's It's all a potato specialty here in Guiyang, and let's see how it's done. Look at the varieties of potatoes. That's fatty pork. She's adding in some signature old gravy, some chives. Oh, and again. Look at that.

Oh my goodness. So, it's like a special mashed potato with cabbage, with chili, with jar gan fish root. She's mashing it up, and there's a final step here that's very unique. Oh, look at this. She's cracking an egg. Oh, this is the moment. And just frying it in there. Look at that. So, it's a fried egg wrapped with all that mashed potato. Very unique. Wow, fully loaded. So, it's 10 RMB, it's about $1.30. Let's try it out. How? Wow, it's really like an upgraded mashed potato, delicious. And it's got the fish root aroma. Everything in Guiyang has the fish root.

Oh, yeah. A lot of dishes here have that fish root. So, you taste that in all the dishes, and I like it. Wow, another solid A tier. I really enjoyed this one. Like, bacon mashed potatoes with an omelet mixed in and lots of chili oil and signature fish root. Super unique and delicious. Okay, next up, guys. I think we just found a specialty tofu. Okay, and look at this. This is the tofu. It's like a grilled tofu. Oh, look at that. That's jar gan fish root. She's going to split it open and load it in. She's just going to let me add a little more myself here. This is the fish root. Oh my. Signature fish

root with chili. She's going to add it on to that tofu there. Very nice. It's a yummy tofu. Oh, she's wei she ma she's swanda? Oh, fajao. Wow, guys. So, this is not only just regular tofu, it's a fermented tofu. That's why it's called swantang tofu, ma? Sour fermented tofu with fish root. It smells a bit cheesy, a bit funky. That's an acquired taste, but I think I like it. It's like a cheesy fermented spicy fishy tofu. This one for me was between a B and a C tier. I think since it's such an

acquired taste and not my first pick, I'm going to have to go with C tier. Quite funky and potent. Let's see what else we can find, guys. We're well on our way through this journey. And next up, we're finding some very spicy unique street foods that have huge potential to be S tier and also take a big chunk out of our $100 budget. Let's see if we can hit the jackpot. Okay, guys. Next up, we just found Look at this. Deep in the market, chilies fried chilies. You can actually eat chilies plain, fried. Look at this. Ni hao.

Wow, looks good. Oh, pure chilies. Look at that. Pretty cool. Chilies are spicy here. Wow, my mouth is burning. Wow, what an amazing snack. Guiyang is the land of chilies. This is all deep fried chilies and Guiyang specialties. E jin. How? And we're going to get 500 g of this chili as well. So, two of these is about $10, really nice. Wow, there it is. Guiyang lajiao, Guiyang chili. Look at that. She's got 500 g of that. Super. Oh, that was spicy. I think we just found another A tier snack here. For me, like upgraded potato chips. They burn, but they burn very mildly and gently. So nice.

Bye-bye. Keep going, guys. And it's getting better and better as we go deeper into the market next. Will we find any more S tier street foods, and will we be able to spend this whole $100? Let's find out. Okay, next up, guys. Let's explore the market. Deep in the market, it gets absolutely busy. Look at this. There's so much food in this market. And I think we just found the smoked pork. It's a la rou ma. La rou. Take a look at this. Guiyang tese Wow, look at this la rou. Smoked fatty pork belly and oh, hai you shang chang.

Oh, there it is. La rou. It's a la rou hen chang de shi jian la ma hai shi? She ah yan zhi. Shi jian. So, it's smoked for 10 days. Oh, it looks so delicious. So, we're going to buy this here, guys. This is a fatty pork belly smoked for 10 days. Ni hao. Hen hao chi. Wow, it's 60 RMB, which is about $8, almost $10. We'll call it $10. We're slowly chipping away at this $100.

It's going to be really good. Take that back and snack on it. Oh, there we go. There it is, guys. Look at that. She's just going to smoke that with the flame. So, she's burning off the pork the hair, the bristles. And we're going to take that to go and have some nice snacks on this trip. Wow, this one to me is like extra smoky bacon. I would give this a B tier. Very, very delicious, and I would definitely eat it again. Zhui xia. So, you have to boil it and then eat it. Bye-bye. And there it is, guys. Going to take that home and eat it. Amazing. And next up, we found one of the best street foods in deep Guiyang, China, the thousand chili chicken. Will this dish

have a chance at getting the S tier ranking and competing with the bao zi? And can we spend all $100? Let's find out. I think we just found the ultimate la zi ji station, thousand chili chicken. Ni hao. Oh, la zi ji? Oh, can chi lai hao chi? Looks really good. Look at all the woks. Wow, this is amazing. And look at this, guys. This is where it starts. We just ordered a half chicken, and they're already preparing it for us. They're just burning the feathers off, and let's see the process. This is where it begins, guys. Wow, here it goes. We got a half chicken going in there. Oh, and you can see the organs in there, too.

Oh, yeah. Look at that. That's the chili oil going in there. Dou ban jiang. And this here is the soul of the dish, guys. Dou ban jiang. Natural dou ban jiang, long time fermented, extra umami, the soul. Guiyang lajiao ma? Guiyang lajiao. Hen xiang de. Oh, Hen duo zhong lei de lajiao. So many types of chili here, guys. Look at the skills here. He's done it for 20 years history here. And here's the moment of truth, guys. The la zi ji's coming right out. Here it is. Oh, that looks incredible.

La zi ji. Tai bang le. There it is, guys. Wow. Xie ni. Okay, hao. Xie ni. And there it is, guys. Guiyang la zi ji. Look at this. That's a half chicken la zi ji, fully loaded. Okay, so she's asking if I can take the chili. Let's try. Looks good. Look at that. Wow. Hai you suan. Take some garlic. Get some chicken in there. That looks incredible. Can chi lai hen hao chi? Okay, let's try it out. Wow. And there we have it, guys. We just found another S tier dish that can compete with the bao zi. And we're well on our way to spending $100. Let's see if the next dish can get us there. The price is so reasonable, 120 RMB. The

locals were saying it's very reasonable price, about less than $20 for this amazing half chicken la zi ji. Amazing. How? Xie ni. Xia ci jian. Amazing guys, only 120 less than $20 for that amazing meal. Let's keep going. All right guys, and next up I didn't think I would eat this, but I really wanted to see whether it's any good and rank this dish on my food journey. Okay, next up guys, we found a local specialty pork brain. This is wrapped in cabbage and I think it's going to be spicy. I'm not sure, but look at this. So basically they wrap a pork brain in a giant cabbage leaf, grill it and douse it in a

little light soy sauce, cumin, signature fish root, a little garlic and chili and then it's ready to eat. Let's try it out. Okay, and there it is guys, let's try this out. Wow, that is going to be unique. Tons of fish root, a little vinegar, little cumin, little Sichuan peppercorn. Let's get a nice big bite. All right, maybe it's not my favorite, but it's definitely not super bad. I wouldn't order it again though, so I'm going to say solid D tier. I don't know why I keep torturing myself with dishes like this cuz next up I also ordered their grilled pork intestines loaded with some light spices and bell peppers and onion. Let's try it out. Okay, and there it is guys, look at that. We've

got the sizzled Teppanyaki style fatty pork intestine loaded with spice. Oh yeah, he's put a lot of Sichuan peppercorn in there. Going to dip it into some Guizhou chili. Try it out. Well, it's crispy on the outside, fatty on the inside, very peppery, spicy, numbing from the Sichuan peppercorn. All right, maybe not my favorite though, definitely not my favorite. So I'm going to give this one an F tier. Intestine for me just always has a bit of a strange odor to it. I probably won't order this one again. Yet to be honest, the pork intestine not my favorite. It's got that pork intestine aroma. Every time I try pork intestine, there's

something about it I just can't get past the odor. So for two dishes that was 40 RMB, which is about $6, $7. So we're well on our way slowly creeping up to $100. Let's keep going guys. And last up we found one of the most unique street foods I've ever eaten. Like a street style omakase where a lady grills up whatever ingredient you choose and mixes it all up in her bowl for you. You got to see this. Okay guys, and next up I think we found another street specialty. Look at this guys, we got a little grill station here. You just roll up, you choose what you want to eat. I don't know what's going to happen. I don't know, you just eat it plain. Let's see, it looks good though. We got eggplant,

we got egg, we got potato, tomato. Looks like some sort of starch jelly. Sliced potato. And it's over the coals. We're going to get an eggplant, too. Okay, pidan. Let's get a century egg. She says it's very aromatic. Oh, she says when you grill it gets super aromatic. We're going to get chili. Guizhou chili super famous. Look at this guys, she's just peeling this eggplant. There's a tomato. It's bursting with juice. Look at that. Okay, and we're going to put some chilies in there, too. This is so unique guys.

Look, it's your own little private omakase grill station. You can just put whatever you want in here. Look at that. So we got chili, tomato and eggplant going in there. Oh, and here's the pidan, the century egg. Look at that. It's really roasted. Wow. And there's the pidan, the century egg going in there, too. Oh, smoky century egg. Soy sauce? Oh, Sichuan peppercorn oil. Oh, Sichuan peppercorn. Oh, weijing, MSG. Oh yeah, and then salt. It's like the Guizhou salad. Oh, that's roasted chili.

Guys, this is incredible. Guizhou specialty chilies. Wow. Okay. So let's just get right in there guys. And we're going to make this first bite count. Let's get some tomato. Let's get some century egg and some eggplant. Oh, shishini. Wow, that is unique. It's like a cold spicy eggplant tomato chili salad. Oh, and it's numbing. For me this was a solid B tier. Very unique and tasty and I highly recommend trying this dish if you come to Guizhou province. Little spicy. And we did our best today guys. Spent all day, had about 13 street foods and only spent about $70. And part of that is your own street side omakase.

You got your own special chef here for you having a grilled Guizhou specialty. Shishini tai hao chi le. And now we have a battle. I think between this baozi steamed bun and the thousand chili chicken, I'm going to have to go with the thousand chili chicken. This is the ultimate winner of this deep Guizhou province of China. Thanks so much for watching guys.
