Each one of these cars is from a different decade spanning over a hundred years. Today, these drivers are going to go headtohead to figure out which one's fastest. Let's see what these cars can do. Let's go. So sick. If you put an F1 in, it would be like quite close. Proper acceleration. Yeah, I've driven the super van, but I've not driven this one. That's like proper old school. I've only seen that in photos. Our drivers are going to select different cars across 100red years of racing history for a series of on track challenges. Whoever wins the most going into the final race gets to pick their car first for the ultimate head-to-head
showdown. And to raise the stakes even more, I've brought a special guest for the winner take finale. So, you guys are going to be able to complete a flying lap on a full race course. But before that, we have a couple of challenges that you're going to have to complete. And these cars you get to pick from. Those challenges are acceleration and cornering. Whoever wins the most of those challenges, you get your preferred pick for the final race, which is the important one. Okay, sounds good. Pretty easy. We'll see. Yeah. Now, each of you guys get to pick two cars. Which cars do you choose for acceleration?
Rally car. You want the rally car? Okay. Great. Yeah. Okay. I think I'll go for the Boss. You want the Boss 302? Yeah. Great. Yeah. Super truck. Rally car and super truck. Nice. Okay. I think I'll go a bit more. Max chose a rally car, so I'll choose a rally car as well. Let's go for the RS 2000. The old school. We'll see. We'll see if we got it. All right, let's do it. Our first challenge is acceleration. The drivers will have two cars to compete across two drag races down the straight. The fastest time across each race wins a point. And now remember, the driver with the most points across all
three battles. They get to pick first for the final race. But one thing they don't know is that once they select a car, they can no longer select it for any of the challenges or the final race. So they have to choose wisely. Max is getting prepped. This should be pretty easy for him. All he's got to do is go straight. Put his foot down. No problem. This car is a rally icon, the Ford Fiesta WRC. It's so good it won the World Rally Championship title in 2017. It boast a powerful launch and the ability to navigate tricky corners. Okay, so he's getting some warm-up laps in. Yeah, it's a pretty good drifting it around a little.
Getting the tires nice and warm. They're ready to go. Yeah, this is a good car. All-wheel drive turbo inline 4. It's going to be tough to beat this one, but that's okay. You got two shots. And I like that you went old school. The fastest time in the straight line over 250 m wins. Now, will Max be able to do it in the 2017 rally car? He's done the stop. Jump the start a little bit. Before you jump the start. What was that about? Go hop in the boss. All right. Good luck. Send it.
Nail it. Don't jump the start. All right. Now Max is just out there having fun. If you have the opportunity to drive a War Valley car, you take it. Wow. Incredible. Let's see if Arvid can beat Max's time in a car that's almost 50 years old. Okay. 6.96 seconds. That's the time to beat. All right, Arvid. 6.96. Okay, this is a 302 Boss Hos, baby. The 1970 Boss 302 is the epitome of speed and style. It boasts a high revving 302 cubic inch Boss V8 engine that makes 290 horsepower. That kind of muscle gives it a shot in any drag race, even though
it's over 50 years old. This is what these cars were meant to do, run down the drag strip. So, I think you're going to do great. It doesn't have electric seats. Oh, damn. Look at this. That is old school, isn't it? How does this work? Manual seat. Manual seat belt. It's all right. It was a bit before my time. It was before my parents were born. Yeah, exactly. All right. Good luck, Arvid.
6.96. Arvid's hopping in the Boss 302. Yeah. I mean, yeah, that's going to be uh it's going to be a bit different. Warm it up, Arvin. Let's go. I don't know if that car is going to beat 6.96 max. I don't know. I don't know if it has it in it. We'll find out. Yeah. Go get prepped in the next car. I'll see you in a second. Harvard's getting the feel for a Mustang that is three times his age. But he's looking pretty good out there. I'm rooting for him. You should, too.
Harvin, how you feeling? Good. He's locked in. Loaded. Pass it. All right. The owner of the car is here watching orphan rev the absolute piss out of this thing. 6.96. Time to beat. The clutch on this vintage Boss 302 is totally different than what Arbridge used to as a young formula driver. Oh well. What's up, bud? I don't know what I'm doing wrong. What do you think? Do you want a 1970 Boss 302? Not really. No. That's one point for Max after the first battle. Can he set an even faster time in his second car? The 2024 F-150 Lightning Super Truck.
Hey, Max. Harvard did a 1478. Okay. I think he burned the clutch. Yeah, maybe burned it up a little bit. All right, good luck in this one. The F-150 Lightning Super Truck pushes the boundaries of performance electric vehicles. This is a one-of-a-kind prototype car that produces up to 6,000 lbs of downforce at high speeds. And with a four motor setup, it can reach a total of 2200 horsepower. So, it's going to be tough to beat this one off the line. I think this will be the fastest acceleration test of the day by far.
Here he comes. All right, match. Here we go. Good luck. He's dialed in. Faster than the rally car. I'm going to put it at 6.2. I like guessing. Holy it's so fast. 6.47. So, Max did a 6.47 in the Super Truck. Let's go drive a rally car. Huh? Yeah. The 1986 RS200 was purpose-built for Group B rally and its turbocharged engine help it hold the world record for acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h for 12 years. Even 40 years since it was made, it's formidable off the line. RS200 allwheel drive. You're picking all the manuals, which I love. This is the way to do it. You get to try something new. This car fits you perfect though. Max at a 6.47.
Okay. This thing can do it. I think it can. All right. How you feeling? Good. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. I feel all right. Good luck. Thank you. Is your time to shine? How was that? That was good. That was fast. It was faster. It was 6.47. Okay. Arvid's disappointed in his last run. He's going to give it his all. To be honest, the choice of cars that I chose compared to him, uh, I think on this kind of challenge, I would be disappointed if I lose the challenge with the cars that I with the cars that you had. Yeah. Well,
he picked the classics. I feel like this is a young kid wanting to drive some old school cars, but now we'll see how he does. I think he's focused. Here we go, Arvid. All right, buddy. Let's do it. How fast can Arvid go in this 40-year-old rally legend? Time to beat 6.47. That was all right. Pretty good launch. It didn't look too bad. It looked pretty good to be honest with you. 7 and 1/2. 8 seconds. 7 and 1/2. Eight. Okay. 8 seconds. Yeah.
Waiting for the time. 8.37. Damn. 8.3. Closest to the pin wins. Someone's having fun. Max is up 20 after the acceleration challenges using two of the newest race cars. Now he has a commanding lead that will give him first pick of cars for the final showdown on the full circuit. But I have something in store for Arvid that might give him a little bit of a boost going into the cornering challenge. Going to help him out a little bit. All right, boys. Good job, Arvid. Dude, you've been picking all the old school cars. It's been fun. So, we're going to give you an opportunity to score some points here, though. That Model T right there, you can lap this cornering circuit in under 3 minutes.
And the Model T will give you two points. Level the playing field. Okay. You up for the challenge? I'm up for the challenge. This is the bonus round. You've been picking all the old cars, so we figured we'd give you the oldest of the cars. This is like 100 years old. Yeah. Is this thing single gear? I don't know, dude. The wood wheels. Look at this. This is crazy. Yeah. I'm not so sure. You should try to push this thing in the corn.
I might roll. If you end up there, you definitely did something wrong, I think, on the entry of that corner. Oh, also I got you a special helmet. Look at that. That is cool, isn't it? That's pretty cool, huh? Yeah. How do I get in? I think Yeah, there's a door on that side. This 1924 Model T is as classic as it gets. This vehicle made cars affordable for the masses. And believe it or not, the transmission is controlled by three pedals on the floor. Now, if Arvid can complete a lap on the cornering circuit
in the 1924 Model T in under three minutes, I'm going to level the playing field and give him two points. All right, Arvid in the Model T. Let's go. Stopwatch. There we go. Start. Let's see how he does. It's amazing to see how far these Ford vehicles have come over a 100red years. I don't know. We should have given them more time. A modern race car can complete this circuit in under a minute. But with the Model T's top speed of just 40 mph, Arvid has to push to earn these two bonus points. We got faith. Here we go. It's close. That's a minute. This is going to be down to the wire. I didn't think he'd be able to
make it, but he's doing pretty good. He's coming around one of the final corners. Got the pedal down or the cable pulled. Fire in his eyes, grit in his teeth. He's wanting to win this challenge. He's got 50 more seconds here to come around. The S is he hits the curb. No, he doesn't. He stays off the curb. That's probably smart. Coming around. Final stretch. And there we go. 222. Wow. Absolutely crushed it. Ar beat the 3minute mark. Good job, buddy. He gets two points. We've just seen a 100year-old car complete the cornering circuit in under 3 minutes. With Max and Arvin now tied on points, it's time to
see what the newer cars can do. Whoever wins this round earns first pick for the final head-to-head showdown. With that advantage on the line, Max goes for the newest option, the 2026 Mustang Darkhorse SC. Mustang Darkhorse SC is the most advanced, powerful, and track capable Darkhorse ever. Let's see what it can do in his cornering challenge. We're on the cornering circuit. Max just took off for his one warm-up lap. He's going to get his flyer. See how he does in the Mustang Darkhorse SC. Coming up close, this righthander blew the apex a little bit there, but he's getting used to the car. He looks pretty spicy. And it looks like Arvin might be bringing another vintage classic to this cornering challenge.
It's going to be a close battle. Here we go. Let's see how Max performs in this cutting edge car through the corners. Okay, there Max goes. He's on his flying lap. Let's see. This is the lap that counts. Into the first righthander here. Sweeper. Oh, the Darkhorse SC sounds good. Wide left-hander right here. Sweeping around. Running on the curbs. Here he goes. Final rightander into the S's here. Lap is done. All right, Max, great job. How do you feel? Yeah, I felt all right. It's a lot of corners. All right, Max, you did 37.81.
Great job. With first pick for the final showdown on the line, Arvid is sticking with the classics. The 1966 GT40 is the first Americanbuilt car to win the 24 hours of Lama, making history with a legendary 123 sweep at that year's race. 60 years to separate these cars. Time to see who wins. Old verse new. All right, Arvin. How you feeling? Uh, nervous. Really? Yeah. This car won the 24 hours of Lama. In 1966, so no pressure, but he did a 3781. I had a bit of cold tires in the beginning.
You did good. Well, dude, you're going to rip it. You ready? He's quiet. Okay. He's quiet, which means he's thinking. All right. Best of luck. He's nervous. Yeah, I can't imagine. I mean, manual as well, you know, like Yeah. makes it a little bit more intimidating. It's quite I mean, that's a proper car. Yeah, the clutch is also there's not much throw. All right, Andy's off.
That's like proper old school for a Yeah, he's picked all the old school cars. Now he picked the ultimate old school car. He's sending it. Yeah. And this car lasted 24 hours at Lama. It can last one lap with Arvin. I hope so. This is time lap. Yeah, he's done playing around. Nice. Well, chirping it. See it wiggle there in the braking a little. Yeah. Dances a little.
It's dancing a bit. You will have a bit more temp again in the tires. That should help. It should help a little. Okay. We're hearing this long left-hander right here. How was that? How do you think you did there? All right. Pretty good. Yeah. Okay. I think that looks good. Good line out. Here we go. Final turn. Looks all right to me. Looks pretty good. Let's see if we Oh, we had it off the curb. All right. Oh my goodness. I was like, "Oh, well, he's using all the track. That's good."
He's using all the track plus some. Yeah. All right. We're going to get a time here. You did a 37, right? Yeah, but I think it's not too far off. Yeah, I think it's pretty close. I mean, it looked fast. How was that? I'll help you out. Thank you. How was it? Well, it was fast, mate. I was scared when I went into like turn two at the end, but I break and then I went down the gate. No, but it was cool using the whole track and a bit more on the exit. Yeah, I was trying to get on the power, but then you had a bit of under steer.
Good launch off the line. Yeah. Well, there's a lot of smoke. I don't know if it was a good launch. You got off, you know. Okay. You had to beat 38 seconds. You did it in 41 and some change. Yeah. Good effort though. Yeah. Okay. Uh it was not bad. I mean in this car. Yeah. That's an impressive time for Arvid in the 1966 GT40. He was only 4 seconds behind Max in a 60-year-old car. Okay. So, Max won the cornering challenge, but Arvid is sneaking up there. He's getting confidence. He was only 4 seconds behind Max. Now, we're going into the final challenge for all the marbles.
A bit down in the leaderboard at the moment, aren't I? You're a bit down, but it's okay. This is the one that matters. You guys are going to be on the track at the same time. Fastest lap wins this whole entire thing. Awesome. All right, you ready? Yeah. This is it. The ultimate showdown where the fastest lap wins. Coming out on top of the leaderboard after a series of challenges, Max gets first pick for the final showdown. His selection, the Australian V8 Supercar. The Australian supercar features a V8 engine that generates 600 horsepower, and it's right at home on this road circuit. With everything still to play for, but unable to select any of the
cars already driven during the challenges, Arvid has to choose wisely. His selection, the Mustang GT3. The 2025 Mustang GT3 boasts a powerful, naturally aspirated V8 engine that makes 550 horsepower. And we got a special guest showing up that the boys don't know about to make things a little more interesting. Hey Ari, look who I got. Hello. How are you? All right. Good to seeing you here. Oh, you know, doing great. Doesn't look Ready to go. You excited to get in this car? Yeah, I'm excited to drive something with two pedals.
You don't know how to use a clutch, right? No, it's been confusing. You'll love this. Okay, we'll get suited up. Let's go. Good luck. All right. As a race car driver, we're not good at using clutches. At least a lot of us coming from formula cars. So, this is a relief for it right now. He's going to do great. Yeah, he's going to do good. My recollection of the V8 is that's I mean, I drove an older generation, but that'll be uh that'll be a little squirly, I reckon.
A little bit more Aussie power. Yeah, dude. Ho. The ultimate showdown where the fastest lap wins. Now, both drivers will be on track at the same time trying to set their fastest lap. They'll take staggered starts for a warm-up lap followed by two chances to set the fastest time and win it all. I need these. I need these, too. All right. So, if you're arid right now, you're trying to prove yourself. What's your process? I mean, you're going up against Max, so you need an ego that's really big. All the confidence that you need.
Okay, we roll up to the line for your two left. Right. Max's just smiling ear to here. He's loving it. All right, Arvin. Let's go, buddy. Let's go. Let's do it. You got this. It all comes down to this, the final showdown. Marvin takes off and he's ready to set his first lap. Going into this first corner, he is not letting up. He's breaking late. Max. Here's Max. Max gets off with a great start going down this front stretch, banging through the gears. You got world champ versus new kid on the block, breaking super late, hitting the apex. Perfect.
Getting the car a little bit sideways. Oh, there goes Max. Locks up the brakes a little bit. Sliding that car around. He's still got to build some temperature in the tire. He is locked in right now. He is focused. Both drivers are really pushing in these first laps. All right, here we go. Harvin looks right at home in this paddle shift GT3. He is really sending this thing. That's a rapid time for Arvin. 109 in his first lap. Can Max beat it? He lost the rear there. Oh my god. I'm surprised he stayed on. And here comes Max in his first lap. And he does a 111.
Quick, but he needs to go faster on his second lap to beat Arvin. There's Arvin. He is sending this car running off the track. Two wheels in the dirt. He breaks so late. He's using every bit of the track, running it all the way to the rumble strips. All right, here we go. He's got to come out. Max has got a 26 second differential. So, we'll see when he comes around what it's going to be. Here goes Max. He's picking up the pace. He's breaking later. Getting on the gas sooner to go. They're taking some curves.
He's hitting the curve. Here comes Arvin to the finish line and a 103. 6 seconds faster. Max better pick up the pace. Max downshifting. Getting this corner. Getting the rear to step out a little bit. Little bit of counter steer. He's using every ounce of this track. Max is really pushing. He's definitely putting down his fastest lap yet. But can he beat Arvit's time? It's going to be close. How was that, mate? Did you have the fun? I think we um on the track. They're not messing around. It's hard as a race car driver to not drive fast, right? You want to try and feel the limit. That's Well, you're competitive. You guys
are so competitive. You want to win. And also the guy you're trying to beat is Max, then there's like, well, it's Max. We're going to get the times. That was fun. You were like losing the rear into turn one, right? I was sending it. Yeah. We were sure you were going to spin. There was one last I was on a rally stage at some point because you just kept cutting all the corners. No, just on the X's. Yeah, all the edge of the curbs. No. Yeah, you weren't on the track at all. No. Max, how you feeling?
I had a lot of fun. I was just I was like smiling. Yeah, we saw you. Did you guys want to hear times? I could see I was slower. Don't worry. You get the references. You got the reference. You the fastest. I think I was like 3 seconds off something like 4 seconds. You did a 106 and you did a 103. You're the champ, man. Wow. You see that? All the suffering you did through all the old cars, it made it up in the end. So, congratulations.
Thank you very much. Good stuff. I'll take your phone. Yeah. Well done, mate. You need to have a go. I know. I uh I might put a race suit on. Just go ahead. Just jump in.
