It's that time to talk about the signs and whether he seen positive signs. Randomly, I saw some signs today. I did. Um, two a piece Spurs and Brighton. Spurs leading obviously on two occasions getting pegged back at the end of each half. Stoppage time at the end of each half. Um, and the final result being a two a piece getting a point in that game. But Daz watching that I actually thought Spurs that's their best performance for at least six or seven matches. Y um and if they play like that between now and the end of the season given the opponents that they are going to be playing because Brighton are on a little
bit of a run at the moment especially away from home doing really well I think Tottenham might be able to accumulate some points here. It all comes down to whether Forest accumulate more or West Ham accumulate more. Look, I didn't expect anything out of today's game if I'm honest. You expected them to get beat at all? I did. I did expect them to get beat. I thought Brighton top of the form table against Spurs bottom of the form table. I didn't expect it. I looked at the fixtures we had, including today, and I thought seven points may be enough. I looked at Wolves away. I looked at leads at home. Um, and I looked at Everton last game of the season thinking that
could be seven points. You beat Wolves, you beat Leads, you get a point against Everton. Could be enough. So, we picked up a bonus point today. But it wasn't that everyone showed up. Everyone, the supporters showed up. The atmosphere was tremendous. The players showed up, the manager, the passion, the manager showed, the players showed fight. First time I've seen it for a long time. Players showed fight. They were playing as a team. They had team spirit. They were getting angry at each other. They were getting They were praising each other when things were going right. Even when I'm I'm not going to dig out Dano. He knows he made an
error. He should have cleared it. Even after that, everyone was going up to him, patting him, saying, "Come on, get your head up." I've seen enough out of today's performance to tell me that if we can continue those performances in the next five games, we will have enough to get to 3940 points. Another nine points I think we could get out the next five games, which might sound comical because we haven't won since the 28th of December last year. Yeah, it's different now. You've got Derby.
They're clearly playing for Derby more than they did the previous managers. They're playing for each other. They seem to be playing for the supporters today. Javi Simmons come back in the team. I thought it was tremendous. Probably the best I've seen him play. Um, great assist, great goal. Unfortunately, we've we've met Mito turned into prime vanaston with that goal. I thought it was tremendous. And then the mistake and it was a lovely finish from Rut right at the end. It was a lovely finish. It has to be said. It was a real kick in the teeth. I've got five kids at home. Three of them boys. My nine-year-old boy messaged and said when there was eight minutes put up in four or five minutes they're going to
get an equalizer. You could just feel it. You could just see it because everything's going wrong at Spurs at the moment. Best performance probably since the victory against Crystal Palace in the league still didn't get enough. I think they're going to it's going to be deflated for a little while but I think deserve the manager to lift them up. I really do. I think we'll beat Wolves next two away games next. Wolves and Aston Villa. Aston Villa is going to be tough. I think Wolves may be famous last words. They're done and they're not down tools for instance, but they're going to prepare for next season and I think we'll we'll go there and win. Aston Villa is a tough game.
You get anything out of that, it's another bonus point. Um you got leads at home as well. Need to win that. Who knows what's going to happen with them in the FA Cup. Who knows that I think they've got enough. I think they're safe. So they towards the end of the season, you never know what happens when you're safe. Your mind goes elsewhere, you get a victory there. The one thing you don't want is to go to Stanford Bridge needing a win or if you lose, you're going down. You don't want that as a Spurs supporter. That will live with us forever. If that happens, then it's it'll be a huge game at the end of the season against Everton. Do you think you're going to need other results to go your way? The West Hams and the Nottingham Forest, for
example, you've mentioned Leads there a couple of times. You've got to play them. Yeah. I think they've got a game against Forest as well coming up. Yeah. Um so you're going to need somebody to do you favor along the way here, aren't you? Yeah. Well, look, West Ham and Leads are the last game of the season at West Ham. That's their last game of the season. That for me, I'm hoping is pivotal for West Ham. I think Leeds have got enough. Leads have got 40 39 points. They've smashed Wolves to their 3-0. Yeah. So they're eight points clear. Now it needs Spurs, West Ham and Forest to have an unbelievable last five, six
games, however many they've got left and leads to just crumble for them to get drawn back in. I don't think that's going to be the case. They've still got to play Spurs. They've still got some big games. It's out of us. West Ham and Forest. I think Forest have got the toughest running out the lot. They got Burnley tomorrow. that if they win that it's it's a free hit now before the 94th 95th minute it weren't a free hit they needs to go then get a result now it's a free hit for them it's a free hit for West Ham against Palace they won't feel like that they'll think can we get a result Palace hung over still from the win in Europa League Europa Conference Forest against Burnley that are struggling as well
they if they get a win there it makes it a lot more difficult so I'd hope that we don't need other results. I hope Spurs would have enough in the last five games with the games I've mentioned to get enough points that it doesn't matter what they do. But it will help. It will help if my old team does us a favor on Monday, Palace and beat West Ham. And it will help if Burnley turn up against Forest tomorrow and beat them as well. What do you think? Did you see signs enough signs? Do you think today's performance are down? you were down in my head. I like the I just can't see where you're going to get something. Yeah, the performances aren't there. The players aren't turning up.
The players aren't playing today. I saw a different Spurs than what I've been watching over the last two months in particular. So, there's something there. I look at some of those fixtures and I think right, yes, you can win that match. Wolves who you've highlighted leads I think will be done. They'll be sound by the time you play them. So, you might get lucky with their attitude. I mean, it might be completely different. I don't know. But I think you might be able to get that game there. I think Everton last game of the season's horrible for you mate. I really do because they are flying and they'll be
looking at European qualification to go out with a bit of a bang. If you need something last game of the season, I think that is horrible. You know, you know what? For me as being Spurs supporter, the best thing to could happen to us is Forest beat Aston Villa and go through to the Europa League final because resting players and all that. Yeah. Resting players concentrate. You win that, you're in the Champions League. Players attitude as well. I don't want to get injured. I want to play in the final.
Exactly. So they've got a tough running in. They've obviously got Burnley tomorrow. That kind of a free hit now. They'll beat with all due respect they'll beat. I think they'll beat Burnley. They've got Sunderland away. Sunderland can beat anyone on their day. They got Chelsea away. Chelsea need to start picking up wins. They've got Newcastle at home. Newcastle are all over the place. Anyhow, will want to finish the season to build confidence into next season. So you're hoping them players that they turn up as well. They've got Man United
away. And their last game is Bournemouth at home. Right. They're losing the last toughest running. They're losing the last two. They've got the toughest running. If they win tomorrow, gives themselves that extra step for themselves against Spurs because Spurs will need more than one win to surpass them. I look mate, it's all over the place, isn't it? I think Spurs will stay up. Might be famous last words. I think Spurs will stay up. And it's not me being a Spurs supporter or me being naive to the situation, what's going on.
I fear if they go down what could happen. We've we've seen it before complete slide a complete slide down to League One and I don't could happen to Leicester this year. It could happen to Leicester. It seems like it's going to happen to Leicester. I just I'm not one of these supporters that thinks we're too big to go down. We're too good to go down. I'm not naive to that. I just seen enough today that deserve has got enough to keep up. And with the games coming up, they're winnable. There's winnable games there. How many points do you think you need there?
I think what we on 31 five games to go. I think seven points does it. Two wins in a draw does it still? You think you can get to 38? Yeah. Stay up and will that be on points or will be on goal difference? What will that be? Our goal difference is a lot better than West Ham. I think Forest are quite close to us but with West Ham that's an extra point by the way. Yeah. And so you're you reckon you can stay up on goal difference? I don't care how we stay up. I don't care how we stay up on goals scored. I don't care headto-head. That's horrible.
I don't care. We do a playoff at the end of the season to stay up. As long as we stay up, we can't go down. It'll be a travesty. No one wants Spurs to go down. Oh, the thing is about it is that from a person that doesn't have any skin in the game at the bottom end of the table, it's absolutely fascinating because of the size of Spurs, size of West Ham. Nottingham Forest are a hu I know they've been in and out of the league of recent years, but they're a huge club. It's absolutely gigantic. Whoever goes down, it's massive.
They've done it before. West Ham, not Forest have done it before. Leads have done it before. Spurs have never done it in the Premier League. Never done it. And I know I'm not blind to it. I know it's funny for everyone else. I know everyone wants Spurs to go down and I get that. All supporters understand that. I would be the same if someone else was down there, a big club cuz Spurs are a big club, but this is not the first season we've been there. By the way, we finished 17th last season. I know an concentrated on the Europa League. I get that but we're still down there. And we haven't shown enough fight in recent games.
Today I felt we did with Madison coming back as well. I think that's massive. If he can come back and back fitness as soon as possible, it's a new signing. That'll be enough to create more opportunities. We're staying up. We are staying up.
