This might be the world's most unique hotel. It's a three-story glass pod hanging on the side of a cliff at the bottom of the world, and we're going to be spending the night here. Welcome in. I don't want to leave eventually. It was already going to be a very long travel journey to get there, but what should have been a 31-hour travel day turned into 57. Ride, run, ride. In this episode, we fly from Denver to Houston and Houston to Bogota. We learned what happens when you leave your passport on the plane.
I'm still searching for the silver lining in this. Eventually, we fly from Bogota to Buenosares and then finally Buenosares to El Caliphate where we rent a van, attempt to see the famous Mount Fitzroy up close. This is crazy. And finally, hike up a mountain and down a Via Farada to sleep in the OO pod. So, join us to see if the long journey is all worth it in the end. Good morning from the Houston airport. Our journey actually started about 6 hours ago in Denver. We had a very early morning flight here. We spent a few hours in the United Lounge and now we are about to board our 5hour flight to Bogota Colia.
Thank you. Woohoo. Okay. She's happy. As you find your seats, place only your large carryons in the overhead bins. Wheels in first with handles facing towards the aisle. And a very pleasant evening. We have just landed at Island International in Bodak, Columbia. Okay, take care. Run, run, run. I think that's the first time I've ever been told that getting off a plane, but we're just uh running to the bus. There's really not much we can do here. The cavir play right there. So, it's 8:53 p.m. Boarding begins at 8:30. It's not looking good.
We're almost here. I don't even know if it's worth it, honestly. Well, our bags are still on that plane. So, it's either like we make it and our bags don't or we just stay with our bags. Nice. Guys, we don't know where we're going, but we're going fast. Terminal 1 AB connections left. No, this way. This is not looking good. We've got a clear immigration. I think this is going to pick up when we don't make our flight. Where could it be? Look where your computer slot is. Honestly, it's a miracle that I haven't done this before. Good morning from Bogota. We did not make our flight last night, but um the story is a little more interesting than that. So, as we were
waiting in immigration, questioning whether or not we were going to make the flight, I reached down and touched the pocket that I always keep my passport in, and it wasn't there. So, then I proceeded to panic, touch all of my pockets, ripped my backpack open looking for it, and um it was nowhere to be found. Turns out I left my passport on the plane. I'm not the most responsible person and we've been to 112 countries traveling for 11 years. So, it's not surprising that this finally happened. It's just made the next two days super annoying. What happens? We're in Colia and I don't own the passport.
I have no idea. But they can't let us. Do they ship us back? Thankfully, we were able to find a really nice lady at the airport who was able to call the plane. They found the passport and they got it off the plane before it took off again. Hello. How are you? Thank you. So, you need to go down a step. You need to enter Columbia now. Then, once I got my passport back, we proceeded to spend the next few hours at the airport bouncing around from desk to desk trying to get our flights rebooked. Thankfully, because the flight was already delayed, they rebooked us for free. They put us up in this hotel room for free. So, that was nice. I still haven't done the math, but I think for getting my passport, added an extra 27 hours of transit.
I feel like I look really tired cuz I am really tired. Gracias. All right, we're back. Let's try this again. I'm keep touching my pocket every 5 seconds just to make sure my passport's still in there. We uh made it through security. We have about an hour and a half until our flight boards. So, time to find a lounge. Feels like the old days. Everything about this video feels like the old days, actually, except for the fact that we were sleeping in a hotel last night instead of uh on the airport floor. This is nice. Cheers. This is the first food we've eaten since we got on the plane last night. It is 1:30 in the afternoon. Starving. I don't even know what this is. The sign said mushroom santinos. I'm going to have to go to class.
Oh, check this out. All right, home sweet home for the next 6 hours. This is the biggest first world problem ever, but I am continuing to be punished for forgetting my passport. This leg of the trip was supposed to be the big nice lay flat seats. Oh no screens for six hours. So mad at ourselves. Once again, personal problem. But at the same time, it feels different that like we didn't get a discount for this flight. Like we paid the same no matter what. And the flight that we thought we paid for was going to be super bougie and this just isn't. Vibes are very low right now. Vibes are low. I don't even think we have an amenity kit.
I hate this version of us. Like, this is kind of crazy. A 6-hour international flight and we're basically in the Southwest seat even though we paid for the six bus. Don't be sad. It's not your fault. We'll survive. Might try to get some sleep later in the flight since we're landing at 12:30. But for now, I downloaded all of season 2 of Grace Anatomy app starting from the beginning. Very excited. And I don't even care that we don't have screens. For dinner, we have some kind of cheesy pasta, chocolate for dessert. National Airport.
Got it right. 6 hours later, we have finally landed in Buenosares. We were supposed to be here this morning. Well, technically yesterday morning at 5:00 a.m. and it's currently 12:30 a.m. Basically like 19 hours later. And I cannot get off the plane without physically seeing my passport as I walked off. I might be scarred forever. We're so close. Kind of. We're officially from here. We have a 1-hour drive across town to a hotel that we're staying at that's right next to the other airport that we're flying out of tomorrow morning. One more flight. 1:09 a.m. No surprise. It only goes for 1:00. I feel so great.
USD, huh? Hurdle number 567. Our credit card won't work to pay for the camp. Thankfully, we have some USD. He seems happy with that. Wow, look at this. $78 goes a long way at Buenosaurus. You know what's funny? I'm not even tired. I feel like I should be. I am. Oh, the camera is not going to operate in this humidity. Good morning. It is day three of trying to get to the bottom of South America. We're back at the airport. Still got it on the reservation on I don't know why the agency cancel out the flight.
Ah, I don't know why. Can you hear this? United is posting. Oh, wow. The drama continues. Um, we showed up to check in for this morning's flight and Cara didn't have a ticket. This is honestly comical. Apparently, when United rebooked us, they booked two tickets under my name and no ticket for Cara. And the guy said there were no more seats on the flight. And after about 30 minutes, I guess he figured out how to change my extra ticket to Cara's name. We're sitting in the back of the plane, but it doesn't matter at this point. We're going to get there.
I would like to reiterate, we're not too good for economy. We just pay a lot for business and we're being downgraded and we don't get our money back. So, it's just a bummer. At this point, it doesn't feel like anything matters. Okay, from here we have a three-hour flight to El Califhate. But that's just the end of the plane travel. We still have a long journey to get to the hotel. But this is where it starts to get fun. hours after leaving Colorado, we have officially made it to Patagonia and I have my passport. Yes, we made it. Can't believe it. My life now. What do we just live on airplanes and in hotels.
Wow. We made it. Our bags made it. Life is good. Where do we get out? All right. From here, we have to jump in a taxi that is going to take us to pick up our vehicle that we're going to have for the next 3 weeks here in Patagonia. Oh my gosh. We're not in an airplane. We're not in an airport. We're not in an airport lounge. Am I asleep on a plane and dreaming right now? Grab a stick. It's been a while. No pressure. Everyone's watching. Bye. Oh, no. Backup camera. That's going to be fun. All right. And we're off.
This Oh, parking brakes on. Oh, dear. Good start. All right. And we're off. That never happened. So, staying in the pods is only the beginning of our trip in Patagonia. This van is going to be our home for the next 3 weeks as we drive almost 2,000 m north to Mendoza. Along the way, I'll stop. I'll run 100 miles and then we will keep driving to the Napa Valley of South America. This is going to be an epic 3 weeks and totally worth the 57 hours of travel that it took to get here. We've been in the car for less than 30 minutes and we've spotted our first wildlife. A group of these guanakos, which are basically Patagonian llamas. I think we're going to see like probably a thousand more over the next few weeks. But
this is like when you go on safari and see a zebra for the first time, but they're the first ones. And they're so cute. They're the southernmost llama in the world. They're curious and they're skittish. And I don't think they're very smart because apparently they just jump in front of cars all the time. So, we need to be very alert, especially now that it's getting dark. The lady at the rental company was like, "Whatever you do, just don't drive at night. We have 3 hours to get to our hotel that we're supposed to be staying at tonight, and it's going to get dark in about 30 minutes.
Are we going?" Oh my gosh. I don't know. I think we're going. Okay. Oh, there's there's more land. I'm scared. One wheel on the land. This is crazy. We're almost there. Nothing will stop us. Not only did the road turn to gravel, but it's steep, curvy, filled with potholes, and soaking wet. To one side is the mountain, and the other side is a cliff down to a river. Don't worry, we're back. Forgot I was driving a stick for a second. Because this van is so much like our van and ours is an automatic. I just keep forgetting that I have to do something else. This is supposed to just be a nice
easy drive to our hotel tonight. But the adventure continues. Hola. This might sound a little weird, but I feel like maybe you can relate. Whenever you leave home, you're out of your routine. Maybe you're on vacation. Sometimes you can be a bit irregular as in your poop life. Or maybe that's just us. Now that I have your attention, I'm in the middle of another very long travel day. Slept on a plane last night and I've only eaten food from airports and airplanes for the last 24 hours. And since we travel full-time, we have a lot of days that look like today. But that is where AG1 comes in, who is the sponsor of today's
video. Did you know just one serving of AU1 has pre and probiotics with digestive enzymes that help you be more regular? It improves your gut health. It's clinically proven. They've done all sorts of trials. In addition to that, it has tons of vitamins, minerals, and superfoods. And all of these things help improve your overall health like your immune system, your mood, your energy levels. And best of all, it is so easy. Takes 5 minutes. I take these travel packs with me everywhere I go and I don't have to lug around a bunch of supplements and yeah, just makes me feel better. I'm really glad that we discovered this six years ago. Really
gives me peace of mind when we're on the road that I'm just filling in some of my nutritional gaps, which I think there are a lot of. So, if you're interested in trying AG1, which I think you should, you use our link in the description below. They will send you a flavor sampler, so three travel packs of all three of their flavors and these vitamin D3 K2 drops, which you just put two drops under the tongue every day. D3K2 is best absorbed in oil form, so that's why it's separate. And both of these are free in your welcome kit when you make your first subscription of AG1. It's a $72 value. Okay, back to the video.
Good morning from what has to be the second most unique hotel in all of Patagonia. Maybe the windiest, too. Last night, we slept in these dome rooms right in the middle of the mountains. We didn't check in until 1000 p.m., but they were nice enough to keep the restaurant open for us. And we had this delicious dinner full of beautiful Argentinian food. I love Argentina. And then woo. And then we got to fall asleep to the sound of this. The mountain winds and it was raining on the roof and the fire was crackling. And now Nate is outside running in this weather. I am running the Patagonia 100 in 10 days. So I thought I'd take this morning as an opportunity to test out some of my gear. I'm doing the 10 milei run to uh
Mount Fitzroy base camp. They have a private trail that leads out of the domes which is pretty epic. And uh I'm getting the full force of the Patagonia weather this morning. Little rain, a lot of wind, but check out these views. It doesn't get much. My face is already frozen. It doesn't get much more beautiful than this. This is exactly what I needed after 57 hours of travel. Wow. Welcome to the Patagonia. That is incredible. I am just so pumped to be here right now. The travel day was totally worth it. This is epic.
Let me give you a super quick tour around. I cannot get over this wind. We have a bed, some vivy chairs. This was our lifeline last night. This tiny furnace. I actually just love this. It really feels like we're outside. And here's our bathroom, which is quite impressive for a dome. in the middle of nowhere. The shower luxury. And that about does it. Another reason I'm super excited to be doing this hike today is because back in 2017, Cara and I have been traveling full-time for a little over a year. And that's the last time that we were here in El Shelan on this trail. That is the least amount of money that we have ever had in our bank account. We were trying to make this whole YouTube thing work. And I was doing that by emailing as many
companies as possible, pitching them on this thing called YouTube that I had to like explain back in 2017 asking them to let us go on free trips with their tour companies in return for making a video. And somehow like five luxury tour companies in South America agreed to have us on a free trip. And we actually came and attempted to do this hike on that trip. But about halfway through, our guide ended up telling us the weather was getting too bad and there was no chance of us being able to see Mount Fitzroy after we got to base camp. So, we had to turn around. So, the idea was that we were going to get here 2 days early before going to the pods and we were going to redeem this hike and
get to see Mount Fitzroy. I think there's still a very small chance that actually happens today. It's very cloudy up ahead where I'm going. THIS is crazy. And what's great is we're only about 10 minutes from the pod hotel. This is nuts. Also, if you're wondering why I'm out here doing this on my own without Cara, we have just a few more hours until we're supposed to be checking into the pods. Can't believe this. The lady at the hotel said this hike should take about 8 hours, and I'm attempting to trail run it in three. So, uh, I better stop talking to you and, uh, get to running. I mean, you really can't ask for a more beautiful trail.
I think made it somewhere up there. We've gotten up a little bit higher and the rains turned into snow. It's the end of summer just going into fall here in Patagonia cuz seasons are opposite from the northern hemisphere. And the colors of these trees and bushes are incredible. Woo! We've got snow coming off the mountain on one side and a beautiful sunny day on the other. The lobby is the dome as well. Check this out. I think I'll hang out in here a little while. So good. Such a good trail.
Pretty good climb here at the end to get to base camp. Weather's not looking promising from seeing the peak. That was good timing. the uh ah the path has just turned into a creek. Hard to move very quick on this. Hopefully I get back in time, but if I didn't, I would just go with the theme of the rest of the video. What a change of weather in just 5 miles. This has actually gotten pretty intense. I've never felt like I was actually going to get blown over before, but these gusts come through and literally almost knock you off your feet. This is what I'm climbing of right now.
They made me lunch. A sandwich and a warm empanada. I love Argentina. I've been in here reading an entire book about Patagonia and now reading my Kindle. And what's crazy is I'm sitting inside and there's a furnace and I'm still cold. So Nate, I hope you're doing okay out there. Not exaggerating when I say I was literally holding on to a rock. about to get blown away. This is crazy. I can see the top. It's right there. Jeez. Must be what it feels like at the top of Mount Everest. All right, I'm calling it. I've got running gear, not mountaineering gear.
No way. Look at that. I did have a chance of seeing Mount Fitzroy today. I can't believe it peaked out. That's incredible. We've never seen this before. It's crazy how fast the weather changes here. The really cool thing about this mountain range is you've probably seen it a thousand times without knowing it. This is the mountain range that inspired the Patagonia logo. And I didn't think we were going to get to see it. Oh, what if the weather stays like this and we can see it from the pod tonight.
There they are. That's going to be us. They're so high. Here we go. Oh my goodness. It really shakes. Wow, this is so beautiful. Still just barely see the top of Mount Fitzroy poking up from behind that mountain. It's still clear. We might be able to see it from the pods. So, after we cross the river, a bus drove us here to the base of the mountain. You can see the pods right up there. And now we have a 2 km hike to the top. What an absolutely beautiful place. This landscape is just stunning. The climb has begun. It's only 2 km, but it's straight up. Look at this tree. Apparently, these are like 400 years old. I love old trees.
We are getting dangerously close. I'm sure we put this hotel in the title and the thumbnail. So, if you've stuck here through the whole adventure and you're still here, thank you. And we're almost there. These look like they're 400 years old. She can't help it. She has to do it. She can't not touch old things. Don't take her to a museum. That's where we started the hike. We've already made some good progress. That's where Nate was today. Somewhere up there in those clouds. Not even there. Wow. The clouds are moving that fast. Look at that cloud eating the peak right now.
Wouldn't normally consider myself a big bird guy, but that is pretty cool. There's no more trail. We're just climbing on mountain now. Oh no. Oh, we're so close. We're here, but we're not technically there. We're at the first structure. Wa! Look at this. Cheers. Was it worth it? Yeah. How was that? It's like a mango smoothie. Wow. So, we just had a little snack while we did the safety briefing. And now we're taking a shower before we go to sleep. Who would have thought? In the world's most epic shower. Best
views you could ever get from a shower. Like looking straight at the mountain. If the clouds weren't there, you would see Mount Fitzroy. And it turns out this is mountain water. So, it's just coming from right over there. says it gets really hot. Plus, they have a heater on in here. You ready? Yeah. I ran 12 miles. I'm very ready for a shower. You do need a shower. I didn't know I was going to get to shower tonight. Why? That's not always Yeah, that was awesome. Wow. Quite possibly the best shower I've ever taken. Do you remember what you said last time we did this?
Cheers to my last via ever. What was that? Got this. A little bit very tippy. Yeah, Nate. Last time I said I would never do this again, but this is 1% of the length of what we've done in the past. And surprisingly, it's closer to the ground. The ladder is a 5,000 ft drop and this is 1,000. Honestly, it all kind of looks the same. You die either way. This is crazy. Can you believe it? Yeah, definitely. Wow. We've made it. We're home. And like we've actually made it. Leaving Colorado feels like a lifetime ago.
We're here. Just a few more carabiner slides. Welcome in. All right. 50/50 chance. This is a terrible idea. Yes. I have so much adrenaline right now. I have flown this drone off boats. Like I am not scared to lose a drone. I will put it up to get the shot. That was the most stressful drone flight of my entire life. Just the most sketch place ever to take off. And then the wind in Patagonia. I bet you can look back at the footage. There were these movements where like you know how birds catch drafts and they like raise and lower. That was happening to the drone like massive 20ft swings.
Oh gosh. during one of those and they was like, "Oh, it's going down. IT'S GOING." OH, IT'S BACK UP. Can you see the walls moving right now? So, this is like plexiglass in a steel frame. And they were telling us at the safety briefing that they measure the wind in levels. So, there are five wind levels and then if it gets above level five, it's unsafe to do this. So, level one is like 0 to 20 knots of wind. And I can't remember all the different levels, but they told us what we were going to experience tonight is level five. This is the most wind that you're allowed to sleep up here in. The floor is shaking.
I don't like this anymore. They absolutely wild. They told us these were stress tested to sustain up to 300 km an hour winds. Should be fine. They've experienced up to 150. As long as it doesn't get that windy, I feel safe. It is actually like way more intense than I thought it was gonna be. I'm gonna be able to sleep. Yay. Looks like little man with his arms up. Yay. We made it. Woohoo. Celebratory red wine from Argentina.
Cheers. Just kidding. Has been a long trip. How long are we going to talk about that? That's the whole theme of the video. We're not going to let this go until the next one. Our dinner is served. Our guide brought this down on a backpack. We basically have free room service, so everyone gets to eat their dinner in their pod. Four courses and a bottle of wine. Course number one. Ooh, it's like a minestrone soup. It's like so warm and comforting. It's really shaking right now. Just try not to think about it. This is so fun. I wish I could see.
This is our current view ourselves. So, you know, we're getting the full experience being here, hearing the wind, feeling the wind, but I feel like on camera, we can't really capture the magic of this place in the dark. So, we're thinking in the morning when it's a bit more magical, then we'll show you around and give you the full tour. So, let me scoot this wine glass against the window. I don't know if you can like see and appreciate how much this place is actually moving, but that'll give you an idea. This is like, oh my gosh, WE ARE NOT DOING THAT. SO, the guy that came and delivered us dinner told us that this was the fourth
level five night they've ever had. So, we are the rare few that get to experience this true force of nature. Dish number two. Another soup maybe. Kind of looks like corn. Tastes like mushrooms. Yes, it's actually really good. Course number three. Oh, empanadas. My favorite Argentinian food. Do you remember this sauce? I think it's like a creamy garlic sauce with like chimmy chury oily spicy drizzle.
It's so good. This one is filled with cheese, onions, and like a bunch of herbs. I'm going to eat this with a spoon when I'm done. And of course, last but not least, chocolate brownie. One of my faves. She's very picky about her chocolate. The toasted marshmallow looks amazing. No. Stop. You're going to make me fall. Oh wow. So cozy. This is amazing. Not necessarily warm, but cozy. The sheets smell really good. We've got a lot of blankets, too. I hope so. And honestly, we realized we didn't have to like stare at ourselves if we just turn the lights out and let our eyes
adjust. And you can really see so much of the mountains at night. If the sky was clear, you'd be able to see so many stars. I've really come to love the uh wind. I've accepted it. I've leaned into it and now I'm a big fan. I'm curious how well we're going to sleep. I feel like if it was consistent one way or the other, like if it was consistent, it would feel like white If you've ever gone camping in a tent and wake up to the tent being like and then you go back to sleep. That's kind of what it's like. This is basically glamping.
Yeah. I won't be sad if I wake up a few times in the middle of the night. It's always fun to like wake up in a random place and be like, "Oh yeah, I'm here." Oh yeah, I'm dangling on the side 1,000 ft in the air. There's like 10 lbs of blankets on me right now. This is amazing. This is the best. It's so cozy. We'll see you in the morning. Love you. For uh Did you do a piece? Yeah, I did a piece. We can't both do a piece.
Yes, we can. Tell me if you can see anything. Oh, you totally can. It feels like we're on an overnight train. Like the whole bed's just shaking a little bit. Wow. If it was clear right now, you'd be able to see Fitzroy right there. This has to be top five most epic places we've ever slept. This is insane. Okay, nobody breathe. We're going to do a time lapse. Cara, your screen is shining on the glass. Good morning.
Thank you. How'd you sleep? Pretty good. Yeah. The pod shaking didn't wake you up. Yeah. And then I woke up at like 4 and then I woke up at 5:30 to the rain. Good morning. I slept uh probably about how you'd expect me to sleep in a shaking dome on the side of the mountain. Technically, sunrise should be in 3 minutes, but you probably hear the rain hitting the dome right now. It's going to be a long walk back down. Good morning. How are you? Hey, doing good. Ready for uh breakfast whenever you are. Perfect. in 5 minutes and we're ready to spot.
Just brought us breakfast down in the rain in our backpacks. We've got bread, muffins, and granola bars. We've got uh 1 hour before they come get us to leave. So, we're going to eat some breakfast, get caffeinated, show you around, pack up, and uh that'll be it. Who else have geio pudding? Ooh. All right, before we check out, let me give you the official tour of the world's most unique hotel. There are three levels, so I'm going to start at the top and we'll make our way down to the bottom. Obviously, this is the bedroom that you saw last night, but here it is in the daytime. The sound of the rain hitting these windows is so dreamy. The whole pod is made of glass, but they have these privacy curtains up
here because we can see these pods. And back here is the via. So when people are coming up and down the stairs, you would be very exposed. But because they have these, it feels very private. All right, down to floor number two. All right, this is the main level where we spent most of our time. I love how this table is just built into the wall, so you're forced to look out at the views the entire time. The views are just never ending, ever changing. This whole place is off the grid. So, there's actually a lot of similarities between this pod on the side of a cliff and our sprinter van that we lived in for a couple years. And one of them being the diesel heater. We have this exact same one. So, this kept
it nice and toasty in here. And we have this remote where we can change the temperature and take it to our bed. So, in the middle of the night, we're hot. You can just turn it down or turn it off. And then on this wall, we've got the light switch, which are these beautiful LED lights. Big fan of these. But what's cool about this is you can take it upstairs. And here are all of our drinks. But the best part is if you run out of something, everyone gets a walkie-talkie. So you can just be like, "Good morning. I'd really like another thermos for coffee. Thank you." And then make them come down in the rain and
bring it. This is really handy. The walkie-talkie. I don't think I drank enough coffee. The walkietalkie is especially important because when they brought us down here last night at 7:00 p.m. they told us we're not allowed to leave. So once they shut this door, we're stuck in here for the next 12 hours until they come pick us up in 15 minutes. Behind this wall is a secret door. It's kind of hard to find actually that leads to the bathroom. Um it's very private in here too. Thankfully they have this curtain because that's where the vehic is. We've got a composting toilet just like our van. So use it and then add the little wood chips on top.
Best part is though, we don't have to empty it. Somebody else has to do that. Yes. Oh, I need your help. Okay, put the camera down. I need your help. Which I can't imagine is fun. 25 L of water for the sink, which is perfect. And they provide all the things like towels, soap, toilet paper. All of these walls are mirrors, so it feels very spacious. Very impressed with the bathroom for being on the side of a cliff. Wow. It's kind of trippy. And then it's gone. The only thing you haven't seen yet, which might be the coolest part of the whole place, is underneath this trap door. Floor number three. This is where we hung out after dinner last night.
How good is this? We are on a hammock. So, we're like hanging in our pod that's hanging on the side of a mountain. I don't know. It just feels cooler being on a hammock. And it's fun to have a place to hang out that's not in a chair and not in the bed that we're sleeping in. So after dinner, we just came out here until we went to sleep. Like I couldn't get up. It's so epic. We've got the rock on one side, all the views on the other, and you can just see how far off the ground we are. It feels totally different being down here in the daytime when you can actually see the drop off right underneath you. Like last night, you really couldn't appreciate how high up you were. And this morning, it's like
takes a little getting used to. Oh, I don't want to leave. So, back in 2017, we came to South America for the first time. And on that trip, we stayed in what I believe is the only other hotel hanging on the side of a mountain in Peru. So, the whole time we've been here, we've kind of been comparing the two experiences. The journey to get to both domes is very different. Like, obviously, we did the hike up here yesterday, which makes these a lot more accessible. But I would say I preferred the experience in Peru because it was a lot bigger adventure. You're actually climbing a via up to get to the pods. If we're comparing the two pods, these in Patagonia are definitely nicer. Like this feels a lot more
premium once you get to the room. And in Peru, they served us dinner and like this communal glass dome. And I much prefer having like our own private dinner in our pod. That was super nice. I think the biggest difference is this morning we have to hike down in the rain and in Peru you actually get to zipline down. Bottom line is they're both insanely cool. And whether you're in Peru or Argentina, you should do this. If there was one thing I could change about this trip, it would have been that we got here to the pods earlier. The group could have hiked a bit faster.
There was a lot of just like standing around for no reason, and I didn't realize we weren't going to get here until it was dark. I think the journey to get here just made it that much better. All right. Ready for us? Ready. Oh, you're very wet. Yeah. Okay, we have this. All right. Goodbye, Joe. Woo. Wow. This is kind of a little waterfall coming down off the mountain. Like a little rain standing on the side of a mountain. It looks crazier from this angle where you could just see it hanging on. We did it. We were talking to our guide on the way down and she told us that the winds got up to 130 km an hour last night, which now that we've officially survived, I feel like makes it even more epic. All
right, from here we're officially moving into the van for the next 3 weeks. We're going to be driving 2,000 mi all the way up to Mendoza. And I've got a 100 mile race in between. And we'll see you in the next one. If you want to make sure you don't miss the next adventure, there is like a subscribe button somewhere around here. Just saying. Not the best place to bring in a large suitcase. But like we're on a cliff. Like I don't think anyone Well, I guess someone with a zoom lens might be able to see us. Bro, where? Oh, why is my foot soaked?
I didn't spill any water. Could it be like condensation?
