Program: Nfl Highlights and Key Takeaways

Uar Bernard, a Nigerian prospect from the International Pathway Program, made history as the first African player from the program to be drafted in the 2026 NFL Draft. At 306 pounds with 6% body fat, he posted remarkable combine numbers: a 4.6-second 40-yard dash, 39-inch vertical leap, and over 10-foot broad jump. Despite being raw with no game reps, his elite athleticism has drawn comparisons to Jordan Mailata. The Philadelphia Eagles, known for developing raw talent, selected him with the 251st pick, betting on his potential to become a dominant defensive lineman.

Oh, yeah. Who are Bernard from the International Pathway program that opens the doors to football people across the globe. And this Nigerian prospect I mean, he absolutely wild people at a scouting combine. For HBCUs. Ran a 4.6 40. You say, "Well, that sounds pretty good." He weighs 306 lb. His body fat was measured at 6%. Mine might be 60. His level of athleticism and skill, but he hasn't played yet. But, he is a remarkable prospect. 39-in vertical leap, broad jumped more than 10 ft. That's the Eagles. With Jordan Mailata, with Howie Roseman, I mean, they work

it. And we don't know what he's going to develop into, Lou. But, I'll tell you what, just on the measurables and numbers you were reading we saw those numbers when he came out and I said, "We were talking about should we put him in the top 150?" I think he's going to be in the top 100. We don't know. You don't know what you're getting there, but I'll tell you what, talent and potential When you see Yeah, when you see the videos and the still shots of this guy when he's working out, you're just like, "Wow." What is that? No, he They have There's precedent for them taking people who are just very raw when it comes to the game of football and next thing you know, I mean, look at that. 4.63 in the 40-yd dash.

Fastest ever recorded at 300-plus. That's ridiculous. In a word. It sure is. You don't want to be on the train tracks with that coming. Not at all. And he's raw, but this is what you're betting on at pick 251. You're saying, "Hey, we'll take the 306 lb. We'll take the 4.66 with the crazy 39-in broad jump, 10-10." Seems to be 10-10 in the broad jump, 39-in vertical. The quickness that he plays with. And once he learns, because these guys in the IPP, they get to go learn some football skills. But, once he continues to develop and unlock some of those moves on the defensive line, leverage is going

to have to be something that he learns to play with. You see the hip tightness here in some ways. But, man, he is explosive. He is strong. And at some point, you just thought about there aren't many humans that look like this and can move like this. This isn't an Avenger. This isn't a football player. So, being able to teach him in Philadelphia, that great defensive staff that they have, they have some great defensive tackles. There's going to be fun. Look, football skills, it's it's a rep business. That's what it is. He doesn't have any reps at it. He's going to I mean, this is the first time he's probably even went through anything like that.

The kind of leaps and bounds a guy like this can make with the right kind of like support and reinforcement and repetition and then and seeing people do it right in front of him and having great examples. There's no telling what could happen here. Did anybody think Jordan Mailata would become the stud he's become? He's one of the biggest humans, by the way, I've ever seen. Was able to see him and you know, up in the booth during the Super Bowl and I was like, "You got to be kidding me. You are not human." Being that big. Yeah, I mean, It's a testament to them that they're willing to go ahead and take

this kind of chance and bring this kind of person on board and see if they can wind up developing into something and changing his life totally forever.
