As many as 11 scientists working in U on UFO or nuclear power research have either died or mysteriously disappeared since 2022. Many reportedly held highle security clearances and access to sensitive information. The White House is now looking into whether these cases could be connected. Lawmakers, including members of the House Oversight Committee, are calling for answers. Congressman James Comr is here with a Fox and Friends exclusive to tell us more. Congressman, thank you so much for joining us this morning. You're calling you're you've sent out letters. Um I hope you're calling for hearings, but
you say this is more than just a tragic mystery. This could be a national security concern. Explain. Yeah, when I first heard about this, I thought, well, that can't be true. That sounds like some kind of crazy conspiracy theory. But once you see the facts, it would suggest that something sinister could be happening and it would be a national security concern with 11 uh mysterious uh people that were very uh important to our nuclear program all either mysteriously die or turn up missing. Uh that's a national security concern. So, we've put notice out to the Department of War, to the FBI, to NASA, uh to the Department of Energy that we want to know, uh everything that they know about what happened with these
scientists because, uh those four agencies were predominately the agencies that those 11 individuals were affiliated with. And we want to try to piece this together. And we hope that if there are people uh that know uh any information about what's happened to these people, uh if they know anything, they'll come forward to the oversight committee because uh we want to use our position, our bully pullpit, so to speak, to try to make sure that every American understands this and that anyone that's affiliated with our nuclear program in America can be on alert because this is something that uh that could be very serious. We know there are many countries around the world that would love to have our knowledge and nuclear capabilities and
these are the people that were at the forefront of it and they're either dead or missing. Which countries are you looking at, Congressman? Which countries? We want to Yeah, go ahead. Which countries are you looking at? Congressman, can you hear me? I think I've he lost me. Um, okay. We're going to try to um bring him back. We're going to check in with Adam Clotsson. We'll fix that and we're going to come right back to this. All right.
We're back with Congressman James Comr. Congressman, I think we got you back here. So, let's let's pick up. We're talking about the scientists who are missing. who sent letters to several um agencies, Pete Hegath, FBI, uh Chris Wright at Energy and um and Isaacman at NASA. Um first of all, why letters? Why not just bring them in and let's get these answers right away? Well, we plan on bringing them in. We want to do everything we can to see if there's anything uh that they would determine would be classified. Uh we don't want to do anything to jeopardize an ongoing investigation. I know the
president has said there's an ongoing investigation, but as members of Congress and as leaders on the oversight committee, we're very concerned of course about this. Uh this is a national security concern. Uh this would suggest that something sinister may be happening. Uh so we want to see what we can do and hopefully with our bully pullpit uh we can uh maybe uh bring attention to this and have anyone that knows of any information out there uh have them contact Congress so we can help uh determine what's going on here and prevent this from happening in the future. Yeah, I know you're trying to figure out whether it's a foreign threat or if this is something from within our government.
My concern would be that if it's within our government, the people you're bringing in are political appointees and as you know, there are these lifer deep sters um and it's really hard to get information out of them, right? Uh I want to move to this because Elon Omar is um she's suddenly a millionaire. She uh these her disclosures show 6 million and 30 million filed previously amended to 18,000 and um to 95,000. So, what is going on here? And can we expect to see some sort of um consequences for her? Yeah, I've been waiting for this financial disclosure form. Every member of Congress has to disclose their annual financial disclosure form. I think by May the 1st. So, right now is the time that she would be filing her form.
And you know, for between LA uh two years ago and last year, it jumped up $30 million just out of the blue. And of course, once we began the investigation with the Somali fraud in Minnesota uh within the welfare programs, uh she became a person of interest in the entire investigation because she's a leader obviously in the Somali community. Uh there's no question that there is rampant Somali fraud and thank goodness we have Vice President JD Vance and his task force up there right now uh going through and making arrests and uh putting people out of business that are defrauding the government. So we had questions about how her network jumped that much. She never said a word for
seven or eight months. She kept quiet. she wouldn't answer reporters questions. And then all of a sudden, she fills out her financial disclosure form and says, "Oh, I made a mistake." Uh, from net worth being between six million and 30 million to now it's worth less than $100,000. Why didn't she say that six months ago? Why didn't she say that three months ago or three weeks ago? That's the question that every media outlet should be asking her. So, uh, we fully expect the ethics committee to dive into this. I've been pushing the ethics committee, which is the committee tasked with investigating members for misconduct. We're not supposed to do that on the oversight committee, but
because she's a person of interest in the Somali fraud, I've been trying to get that. But now that this financial disclosure form has been changed, uh, I think that this committee has a lot of questions for and we're going to continue to push them to make sure really quick because I only have a couple seconds left, but rising star Brandon Gil, a congressman that you know well, has said we can bypass all of this because her naturalization status, her immigration status is in question. Are you going to dig into that? Because if there's a problem there, she's just out of Congress. Yeah, we all know uh the situation with her brother. Uh Brandon Gil is a superstar. You're absolutely right. And we're doing everything we can to
determine uh if Ilen Omar's committed any crimes. Yeah, her naturalization is based on her father's or status and her father's status is very sketchy. So hopefully you guys will look into that as well. Congressman, thank you so much for looking into this. American people are very concerned about both of these topics. Hey everyone, I'm Emily Kano.
