Lauren Sanchez Basos is gearing up for her Met 2026 role. Hours before fashion's biggest night May 4th, Jeff Basos's wife, who is serving as an honorary co-chair, expressed her gratitude for Anna Wintor. She said during a speech at the Costume Institute exhibit press preview, quote, "As we all know, no one has done more to elevate fashion as an art form or to create in this industry the respect it deserves. Thank you, Anna." Orin also said she's grateful to be in a room alongside of Anna and co-chair Venus Williams. She continued with a nod to the evening's fashion is art theme.
